CHAPTER 8: WE KNOW ABOUT HER

Third Person POV

Sirius teleports himself into his office. "s**t. That is one powerful b***h. Where the hell did she come from?" He yells. He sees his magical crystal globe starting to glow. Demon King Orpheus is calling him. The globe is used as a magical communication device to hell."Now, what the hell does he want?" Sirius says as he takes the globe into his hand to answer King Orpheus's call.

"You failed. You had one mission and you failed you imbecile. I saw the girl fighting. Who is she?" King Orpheus asks. "I know that my King. I have no idea who the girl is or where she came from but I will find that out." Sirius replies.

"See that you do and when you find out who she is, make sure you kill her because I think that she is the one who is strong enough to kill me." King Orpheus. "Are you saying that she is the angel?" Sirius asks. "Yes you moron. She is. That girl has incredible power and strength and she hasn't even reached her full potential yet." King Orpheus roars. "Find her and kill her." He orders. "Yes my King." Sirius replies.

"And Sirius do not fail me again because if you do then I will kill you myself when I finally leave this wretched place." King Orpheus says before he cuts the call. "f*****g asshole." Sirius grumbles just as his office door swings open.

Darwin and Marco come walking in. "Some of the rogues have left us. They said that they refuse to fight with us because of what they have witnessed at Dark Moon pack." Darwin says as he sits down on one of the chairs. "So let those bastards leave then. We don't need them." Sirius says. "The girl. Do any of you know who she is?" Sirius asks. "No, not at all. But I can hack their database again, maybe there is some information about her." Darwin says as he switches the computer on.

He logs onto his hacking program and he gets to work on hacking the Dark Moon pack database. "s**t. They have upgraded their system. It will take a while for me to get through their security walls." Darwin says. Sirius is standing behind him. "Well, I have to be somewhere else." Marco says as he leaves the room. Darwin and Sirius look at him. "Where do you think he is going?" Sirius asks. "No idea." Darwin says and then he gets back to work.

After trying for a few minutes, Darwin finally manages to infiltrate the pack's database. He searches for girls that fit Aurora's description but he comes up empty-handed. Sirius starts pacing in front of his desk, thinking about something. He stops when he figures it out and then he starts laughing. Darwin looks at him confused. "I think I know who she is." Sirius finally says.

"Who do you think she is?" Darwin asks him. "They covered up her birth good. I smelled her scent and her wolf is of Alpha blood. She is the daughter of the Alpha King and his Luna Queen. And she is also the true beloved of the Vampire King." Sirius says as he looks at Darwin.

"Set up a team of rogues that we can use to lure her out. I have to capture her." Sirius says. "Okay, but don't you mean to kill her? I saw what she did to those demons of yours and she may be powerful enough to kill you and your King." Darwin says. "Just do as I ask you and leave the rest up to me." Sirius sneers at him.

"Alright." Darwin says as he gets up and leaves the room. 'You are up to something and I am onto your ass.' Darwin thinks to himself.

Sirius goes and sits behind his desk. "I will use the girl to kill King Orpheus and then I will be the new Demon King. She will be my Queen." Sirius says as he starts laughing again. He takes out his phone and sends a message to someone. He then looks outside his window when he sees something opening in the sky. "Well well, it seems that my demon army will be growing again."

Meanwhile, at the packhouse, Cornelius and Alejandro are sitting in Alejandro's room. The two of them are working together on a security project for BlackBurns Corporation when Cornelius receives a warning on his security system. "Someone is trying to hack the pack database." He says. "So let's see what they want." Alejandro says.

Aurora POV

We are still in dad's office where they are explaining everything to me. "So when will I take on this demon king?" I ask them. "We have no idea but we will have to prepare you for anything that can happen from here on out." Dad says as he looks over towards Cass. Cass nods at him.

"How did those demons escape hell anyway?" I ask. "We have no idea but I sure as hell am going to find out." Dad says. "I asked that demon bastard Sirius last night but he refused to tell me. Something must be going on with the gates of hell." Cass says. "That's because Morgana's power is busy fading away." Someone says from the door. I look up and I see Sadie standing there. "Sorry for the intrusion Alpha Damien but I had to come and speak with you urgently."Sadie says as she steps into Dad's office.

"That's okay. So tell us how you know that Morgana's power is fading?" Dad asks her. "My mom told me that we are descendants of the first great white witch Morgana and because of that, I have this immense connection to her. I sometimes go to her cave here and that is where I feel much closer to her. I was just there and while I was trying to meditate by connecting my power with Morgana's and that is when I felt her power declining a bit." Sadie says. "Has it happened before?" Cass asks her. "No King Cassius, this is the first time that I know off. I should have said that I don't go there often." Sadie says.

Uncle Kade walks into the office with Aunt Becky, Aunt Sophie and Cassandra right behind them, Jaden and Jeffery behind her. Uncle Kade takes the TV remote. "You have to see this." He says as he switches on the tv and then puts it on a news channel.

"Reporting live from Windhoek, Namibia. An unnatural phenomenon has taken place. A huge opening has opened up in the sky. The opening looks to be like a portal to another world and black shadows are flowing out from it." The reporter says.

'Demons.' Alura mumbles in my head. 'You are finally awake.' I reply. Cass takes my hand. "So what is going on in that pretty little head of yours?" He asks me. "Alura is awake and she says that those black shadows are demons." I reply. I turn my attention back to the TV. "As you can see the opening is getting smaller and smaller." The reporter says as the opening vanishes again.

"This isn't the first time that this has happened." Uncle Jared says as he types something on his phone. "Over the past five years, this has happened a dozen times but the openings were small. It looks like it is getting bigger and bigger." Uncle Jared says as he shows his phone to Dad. "How did we not know about this?" Dad asks. "Maybe someone is covering it up." Uncle Jared says. "Sirius. He must be working with someone good in IT." Dad says.

"I think the openings are only big enough for normal demons to come through. Demon King Orpheus is not out yet." Cass says. "Why would you think that my love?" I ask him. "Because he would have made his presence known by now." Cass replies. He puts his arm around me and I lean against him. "Are you in this with me?" I ask him. "Absolutely." He replies.

Alex rolls his eyes at us again. Dad looks around the room. "Cassius and I have been talking with King Elgar, Queen Alegra and King Elias. We have an idea to put together an elite team of warriors. People who are willing to go undercover for missions. Only the best will be chosen for this. I will make the announcement later to the kingdoms." Dad says.

"I volunteer." I say and everyone is looking at me. "What?" Dad says as he looks at me. "I said that I volunteer to be in this squad that you want to put together." I reply. "Absolutely not. I won't allow that." Dad growls at me. "Dad please I think it's time that you stop hiding me from the world and let me become the person that I should be. I know what they are doing to the human girls when they abduct them. And not to mention the ones that those demons are possessing. You know I can help those people." I say.

"I volunteer as well." Alex says. "Not you too." Dad growls. Mom puts her hand on his shoulder. "Babe our pups are growing up and I think that they will be able to do this so why don't we give them a chance.

Mom says. Dad sighs. "Okay fine then." He grumbles."But you won't be doing this alone. There will be others as well." He adds. Cassandra and Sadie are looking at each other. "You can count us in as well." They say in unison, much to the dismay of their parents. "Us too." Jaden says. He nods his head at Jeffery. "Okay I'm in as well." Jeffery says. Uncle Kade and Uncle Jared are looking at them in surprise.

"I am not surprised because wherever Alex goes then you two are there right behind him. So I am not even going to fight with you on this." Aunt Becky says to Jaden. "Okay then now that is settled. Why don't we go and get ready for Aurora's party?" Mom says. Everyone nods and then they leave the room leaving me alone with mom, dad and Cass. "I am so proud of you. You did not freak out like I thought you would." Mom says as she sits down next to me.

"I am not mad at anyone I just wish that you would have told me about all of this sooner." I say as I look at Cassius. "We are still in this too." Mom says. Now I better get going because I still have a few things to do before your party tonight." Mom says. She leaves the room. I walk over to Dad while Cass takes out his phone. Dad wraps his arms around. "I am proud of you too my princess. I just want you to be careful." He says. "I know Dad." I say as I turn around. Cass is sliding his phone back into his pocket and he looks a bit distraught. "What's wrong?" I ask him.

"Nothing sweetheart." He says as he holds out his hand to me. "Ready?" He asks me. "Yes." I say and I walk with him out of Dad's office. We head to my room where we spend the afternoon together in each other's arms. First we make love and then we watch some movies together. At 6pm there is a knock on my door. Cassandra and Sadie both walk into the room. Luckily Cass and I are already dressed. "You're not ready yet. Your party starts at 8 and you are not even dressed yet." Cassandra says.

"I know that. I will go and take a shower now and then I will get dressed." I tell them as I get up from the bed. "That is what we are here to help you with." Cassandra says. "And that's my cue to leave. I need to go and get ready as well." Cass says as he stands up. "I will see you later my Princess." He says. He kisses me on the forehead and I smile at him as he leaves my room. I head to the bathroom and I take a quick shower.

By the time I get out, Cassandra and Sadie already set up everything. "Put this one on. I think that will look good on you." Cassandra says as she gives me a dress. It is golden colored, strapless dress. I put it in me and then I put on the black sandals that came with it. "Wow." Sadie says as she looks at me. I go stand in front of the mirror to take a look at myself but Cassandra stops me. "Not yet, we still have to do your hair and makeup." She says as she takes my hand and drags me to my table where all the hair products and makeup are.

The girls get to work doing my hair and makeup. "Now you can look." Cassandra says. I go and stand in front of the mirror. "Wow, nice work girls." I say. Sadie looks at the clock. "We should go because it is almost 8 pm." She says. The girls and I leave my room, heading downstairs to the hall where my party will be held.

We walk into the hall where the guests and my friends and family are. Mom and Dad are already there with Grandpa Jake and Grandpa Xavier, they waiting for us so we walk over to them. "There she is. Honey please come and meet a few Alphas." Mom says. Cassandra and Sadie walk off to Goddess knows where, leaving me alone. "Aurora this is Alpha Joshua of Black Canyon. He is Alpha Rick's son." Mom says. "It is nice to meet you." I say. "Nice to meet you too, Princess." He replies. Mom and Dad continue their conversation with him while I look if Cass is in here.

Princess Arianna and King Elgar are also here. They approach me with Arion, Argon and Reese behind them. "Hey Aurora, long time no see." Princess Arianna says as she hugs me. "Hey Arianna how are you doing?" I ask her. "I am doing good, I am almost done with university." Arianna says. She looks across my shoulder over to Alpha Joshua. "I will talk to you later." She says as she heads over to where Alpha Joshua is.

"Congratulations on your birthday Princess. May you have many more to celebrate with us." King Elgar says. "Thank you King Elgar." I reply. "I believe you have already met your mate. Where is the lucky King?" He asks me. "I don't know. He said that he would meet me here." I say.

"And I am here." Cass says from behind me. I turn around and he takes my breath away. He comes over to us and wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me close to him. "Nice to see you again King Elgar" Cass says as he greets King Elgar. "Likewise King. And congratulations on finally finding your true beloved." King Elgar says. "Thank you. Now if you all will excuse us. I would like to dance with my Queen." Cass says. They nod at us and then he drags me to the dance floor.

Cass and I dance for a while. We decide to head to the bar to get something to drink. Cass leaves me at the table while he goes and fetches our drinks. "Why are you sitting alone here by yourself?" Someone says from behind me. I turn around and Lucius, the son of King Elias and Queen Lenore is standing there. He is also one of my closest friends. "Lucius when did you guys get here?" I ask as I hug him. "About thirty minutes ago. We had to drive here because we couldn't risk being seen with everything that has been going on." He says. "By the way happy birthday." He adds.

"Thank you." I say as I sit down and Lucius sits next to me. I look over to where Cass is and I see that he is talking to King Elias and Queen Lenore. Cassandra, Sadie, Alex, Jeffery and Jaden joins us. We catch up with Lucius for a while before Cass joins us again. "Sorry sweetheart but the dragon King and Queen kept me busy." Cass says. He picks me up and sits down on the chair with me on his lap. "No problem. I was just catching up with Lucius." I say as I wrap my arms around his neck.

Cass doesn't say anything. He only takes a sip of his wine. A waiter comes around with some appetizers and Cass grabs two plates for us. "You look beautiful in that dress." Cass whispers in my ears making both Alura and Lira purr in my head. 'Stop it. Only cats purr.' I say to the both of them. 'We can't help it. He is just so dreamy.' Lira replies.'Uhmm hmm.' Alura says.

Cass and I start eating while having some conversation with the others when Dad approaches us. "We need to talk in my office now." Dad says to Cass. I get up from Cass's lap and I want to follow them but Dad stops me.

"No you stay here honey. We won't be long." Dad says. Cass kisses my forehead and then he leaves with dad. The girls and I go and dance with Lucius and the others. After a few songs I decide to take a walk outside. Cassandra and Sadie join me. "What is taking them so long? It's already been almost 45 minutes." I say. Reginald and Cornelius are across the yard, talking to the pack warriors.

"It must be something very important. I'm sure they will be out soon." Sadie says. "Cass has been distant since he got off the phone in dad's office. He won't tell me what's wrong." I say to the girls.

"He won't." A female voice says from behind us. We turn around to see a lady in white standing there. "Who are you?" I ask the lady. "My name is Selene. I am the Moon Goddess." She replies.

The girls and I bow down in front of her. "Please girls. No need for formalities. I came here because to tell you girls something." Selene says.

The girls and I stand up and look back at her. "Your paths are going to change soon and you all have destinies in front of you. Obstacles will be thrown at you from every angle but only by depending on each other will you be able to overcome them. Do not fear for what is about to happen because all will be fine in the end." Selene says. I feel like those last few words are meant for me so I look down to the ground.

"Where did she go?" Cassandra says. I look up and I see that Selene is gone. "She went back to her realm I guess." I reply. "I'm going to see what is taking Cass so long." I say and then I head back inside. As I approach Dad's office, I see the office door opening and Cass comes walking out. "Hey I was just about to come and look for you." Cass says.

"Cass what is going on?" I ask him. "Nothing beautiful." He says again. Him not telling me what's going on is pissing me off. I decide not to push the issue further and instead I will deal with it tomorrow. "Do you want to go back to the party?" He asks me. "No it's getting late so I think that I will just go straight to bed." I tell him. I start walking and I head up towards the Alpha floor. Cass is walking behind me.

"Are you mad at me?" He asks. "Yes because I know that something is up and you are refusing to tell me what it is." I say as I get dressed in my pajamas and then I get into bed. Cass lays down next to me. "Okay I promise I will tell you everything tomorrow." He says as he wraps his arms around me.

"Really?" I ask him. "Yes. Now go to sleep sweetheart. I love you." He says as I close my eyes and I drift off into a deep slumber.

Cassius POV

As I lay with Aurora in my arms. I cannot help but think that what I am about to do is a bad idea but I know that it has to be done. This thing with Sirius is getting out of hand. Earlier Damien called me into his office. When we got there Cornelius and Reginald were already waiting for us.

FLASHBACK

"So what is so important that you had to drag me away from Aurora?" I ask him and clearly I am annoyed. "Cornelius and Alejandro picked up a security breach on our database." Damien says.

"Did they find what they were looking for?" I ask. "No. They were looking for the Princess." Cornelius replies. He takes out some papers that were in a file in front of him and he hands them over to me. "They were looking for females that match Princess Aurora's description." Cornelius says.

Luckily for us, Damien decided not to put anything about Aurora on the pack's database. "We need to triple security again. Inform the warriors about it." Damien says. Reginald nods and he leaves the office. Cornelius hands me a map. "I tracked where the hack was coming from." He says as he points to a location on the map. It is coming from somewhere in Namibia.

Damien and I talk about what we want to achieve with this elite squad that we want to put together. "Do you think Alex and the boys are ready for this?" I ask him. "I know that they are. We will just train them to the best of our abilities. The girls are ready as well." Damien says and I nod at him.

"Lucius has also volunteered to be a part of the squad." Damien says. "What did Dragon King Elias say about that?" I ask him. "He doesn't like it but he knows that he can't stop Lucius from joining." Damien replies.

"That's good. Lucius is strong and he will be a great addition to the squad." I reply.

I look at the time and I see that we have been in here longer then intended. "I have to go before Aurora comes looking for me." I say and then I leave the office only to walk into Aurora.

FLASHBACK ENDS

I pick my phone that is still on the nightstand. I read the message again that was sent to me from an unknown number.

"I know who the girl is and I also know that she is your beloved. It is only a matter of time before I get her." The message reads. I have been battling all day about making this decision and the breach on the pack's database is the last straw.

I am going after this bastard alone. I have not told anyone about this, not even Reginald because he will just try and stop me. I look over to Aurora, she is fast asleep in my arms. I manage to untangle myself from her and I get up from the bed. I take a glance at her to see if she has woken up.

I walk towards my room and I pack my bags. I take a pen and paper and I write a letter for Aurora which I will leave on her nightstand for her to find tomorrow morning. I walk back to her room and I leave the letter on her nightstand. I lean over her and I kiss her on her forehead. "I love you." I whisper to her. She squirms a little in her sleep but she doesn't wake up.

I leave the packhouse without making a sound and I head over to the coven to grab the rest of my stuff. I call the airport and I book a ticket to Namibia using a fake name and passport because I know that Damien will try and track me from here. I cannot let Aurora follow me. This will put her in danger.

I just hope that this plan works and I get to return to my Queen soon. I already regret leaving my Queen behind.
