Liam shoved Adrian into a chair in the chateau’s dimly lit study. His wrists were bound with zip ties, blood staining the sleeve of his tailored jacket. Adrian’s eyes darted toward the window as if he were already planning his next escape. Mia paced the room, arms crossed. Her gaze was sharp, cutting into Adrian like a blade. “You heard him,” she said. “Start talking.” Adrian leaned back, his expression half amusement, half exhaustion. “Where should I begin?” Liam’s fist slammed into the wall beside Adrian’s head. Adrian didn’t even flinch. “Don’t test me,” Liam growled. Adrian’s lips curved into a smirk. “You’ve already made a mistake.” Mia’s eyes narrowed. “How?” Adrian’s gaze darkened. “You let Viktor walk away.” Liam’s eyes flashed. “You think you’re more dangerous than him?”
