Mia sat between Liam and Dain, the air so thick with tension that it made breathing difficult. The flicker of city lights outside the penthouse windows did little to soften the sharpness in the room. Dain leaned against the wall, arms crossed, his jaw tight. Liam stood near the window, hands tucked into his pockets, his gaze dark and calculating. “You said Viktor knows we’re here,” Liam said coldly. Dain’s eyes narrowed. “His men were spotted two blocks away.
