Impetuous Heart

LUNA- P.O.V I was running like a maniac as I ran past all the classes and down towards the principal's office. By the time I got there, I was panting heavily, inhaling oxygen loudly through my nostrils as I was short of breath. I couldn't believe that I was late on my first day for my new school year. I transferred from a small town in Texas, Marfa to NYC last month because we all decided, on a new beginning of life. After my mother passed away a year ago, from then nothing was right; dad started drinking daily, he used to lock himself up in his room, refused to talk to anyone. I and my brother were also having a hard time, we were very worried about our father as most of the time of day he starved himself, his health was deteriorating. So one day me and my older brother; Lucas decided to confront our father and wanted dad to come back to his life, later we concluded a new start. "Good morning Miss Knight. I was waiting for you." I was interrupted by the principal's voice pulling me back from my pool of thoughts. "Good morning sir " I greeted him as well. " I apologize for making you wait for me," I said politely. He seems strict and punctual. This was not the impression I wanted to make on my first day. I screwed up. "It's okay unless you're not going to repeat your actions." He said with a stern face. "You may have a seat," he said pointing me towards the chair making an impression to me to sit down. I nodded and did as he said. "So, Miss knight today is your first day of the high school year, and taking a good look at your grades you have pretty decent marks," He said and I nodded. In a few moments suddenly someone knocked at the door, "You may come in," The door flew open as a girl around my age came inside; I looked back, her hair was a dark shade of brown same as the color of her eyes with a perfect physique, In my opinion above the meters of good looking, she entered the principal's office and stood beside my chair. "Good morning sir you asked for me?" She asked the principal along with a slight smile playing on her lips. "Yes Ms. Taylor, I want you to show Miss knight the way around the school along with the disciplines and rules. She is a new student in our school and I want you to take care of her." He said to her and she just nodded simply. "Miss knight this is the head girl of our school she will guide you to your locker and all the classes, she will also show you around the show," He said all that in a stern voice. "And this is your schedule. Hope you will get along with your new classmates and teachers and will study hard." I nodded and said thanks and then took the piece of paper from his hand. As soon as we exited the principal's room the girl introduced herself as Amber Taylor. She was a very sweet girl, we talked about each other while she was showing me all my classes. "Oh look, Luna! we have three same classes English, french and history together" She said with excitement, just as I was going to answer her we heard screams across the hall. There was a huge crowd circled on the ground in front of the campus, we can hear a lot of people cheering about something that was going in between the crowd. "What's happening there? " I asked Amber curiously. "Oh no! Not another fight !!....... " She exclaimed un-hearing my question. "What do you mean by another frig---" I was unable to complete my sentences when a hard chest brushed past me stumbling me from my ground, I was taken aback for a second, I looked over my shoulders and see that the boy was long gone from my sight. I was a little furious but I decided to let go. I started to walk towards Amber when suddenly again a hard rock chest knocked me off my feet and stormed away. I knocked down on the cold dirty floor flat on my butt. Heat rushed to my cheeks from anger, hell I was furious, I never felt so much anger in my life. Amber helped me to get back on my feet and mumbled something to me but I was not able to hear as I was busy looking for that bastard. I was on full-on rage. Before amber could do or say anything again I rushed towards the end of the hall where the d**k-head seemed to storm away earlier. I sported the asshole beating the s**t out of another boy who seems to be the boy from earlier who had rushed passed me. The fact that I was hell furious would be an understatement because what I did next even shocked me. I walked furiously towards their direction and then took the d**k-head by his collar detangling him from the beaten-up boy then slapped him hard on his face. I really don't know what took over me but I said something that I was not planning to say to him anytime soon in my life. "Listen carefully you asshole look where you are f*****g going next time!! " I shouted at him, chewing my every word. Crowd was beginning to form around us. "I am nowhere f*****g interested to see whom you are fighting with back there in the middle of the hallway but you were just running like a madman in the middle of the condor and you just literally knocked me down earlier, listen I don't know you and don't want to know you just watch--" I was cut in the middle when I notice that he was shaking with anger, I guess it was too late when I came on my senses. He was clenching his jaw so tightly that I feared his jaw was going to break, but then I noticed something. His face. He was godly looking with dark black hair and his muscular body. I felt something unusual as I looked into those pale sea-blue eyes, it felt like there was a storm going on in his world and there was only coldness in those pale blue orbs, it felt like there was only darkness in his world; there was no light. " LUNA!!!!!." My name was spoken in unison When I looked in the direction where the voices was coming from, I froze then and there. My eyes met with 2 widened pair of familiar eyes; one warm dark brown and one inked orb same as mine. There was amber and my brother standing in the front of the crowd with a confused look and brows furrowed. OMG, I TOTALLY FORGOT the fact that my brother studies in the same school as me. My brother joined the school earlier before me as I was not prepared for this school's entrance exam, he got in earlier. He is 2 years older than me. He was going to complete his 12th in this school for 1 year. This was his last year of schooling. He has a muscular body and his hair was similar dark black as mine. "LUNA! you better explain what's going on." my brother said. His voice held anger and confusion in them. " Lucas?" I said with fake innocence in my voice I turned my head back towards a Shocked-looking Amber. I gulped, nervously. I. AM. DEAD. _______________________________________________________
