Chapter 10
The new dragon followed Aihi, Chunfeng, and Taniya to the Jyutsu Laboratories, trailing behind them as a collection of fluttering petals, leaves, and branches. It was so large now that Aihi hesitated about bringing the beast inside. Still, when they approached the pavilion, the dragon diffused its anatomy into a swarm of organic matter: rose, violet, and cerulean-coloured flowers shifted around like hordes of insects until they all fit through the wide-open doors.
On the other side, the dragon’s head rematerialized to peer at the towering spires of ki and metal obstructing the beast’s entry to the front room of the labs. Ki-engineers gawked at the dragon’s thousands of flying parts as Aihi passed toward the attendant sorting through bundles of scrolls at the front desk.
