Aihi snapped back into herself, falling into Taniya’s arms, who had come up behind her once the energy in the room stabilized. Aihi gulped enormous gasps of air as she reacquainted herself with her body, patting her arms and legs to ensure that she was whole again.
“Aihi? Are you well?” Taniya’s voice came next to her ear.
Aihi opened her mouth to respond, but her eyes landed on the whirling mass in front of her. Beside her. Above and all around.
