Mask of Lies

(I apologise prior to any mistakes that have been made throughout this story) Battle drums sounded in the distance. Waves of cloaked witches race to the battle front upon black monstrous beasts, that snarled and snapped their jagged teeth as froth spilled out. Their foul breaths created plumes of white clouds in the cold winter air. Their large paw-like feet pounded against the compacted snow, the vibrations could be felt all throughout the land. The iron gate was secured, so the civilians within the once peaceful kingdom were protected from what was to come. Even though they knew the gate would not hold for long. Iran clad male warriors that were gifted by the gods, readied for the unsuspected invasion. Many ran back and forth along the stone wall, arming themselves with sword and shield, as others readied their bows and flaming arrows. The witches were weapons themselves - long sharp talons at the end of each slender finger - able to pierce deep through skin. Retractable fangs; used to rip out the throat of their enemies. Both species of supernatural forces are very powerful, very fierce. Homes will be destroyed, lives will be lost, grievance will be never ending. But there is still hope, a saviour that could save them all. One from both lightness and darkness. A saviour that posses the power to end all bloodshed that rages upon her ancestors lands. But will she be able to carry the weight of the world upon her fragile shoulders or will everything come crumbling down? Comment plzzz ;P
