YIN BORDER
Once again, he stood-a man of valour and impeccable manner. Kan-song stood under the cold frosty morning, facing the gate of the border. Snow and ice drizzled hastily, the breeze was freezing, and refreshing, the temperature dropped below the freezing point. A thin white layer of ice formed at the surface and hinges of the gate.
It was a clear morning with some ground frost. Despite the cold, the mansion seemed to radiate a sense of warmth and comfort, a testament to the magic that happened when nature's fury met human ingenuity. It was a place where one could escape the world, wrap themselves in luxury, and let the snowflakes gently fall outside, casting a serene silence over it all. Amidst the icy condition, Kan-song stood still, and his glamorous presence indicated his superiority and outstanding performance. The hinges of the gate shook as the huge gate opened, granting him entrance into the home of restitution.
He walked harmoniously into the building, and the gate closed before him.
"Young lord!" Arkush exclaimed as he ran towards him, embracing him tightily for some seconds before letting him go.
"What brings you here this time?" Lord Danvey asked anxiously, shifting her gaze to him.
Kan glanced at the scroll towers before giving her an answer. " I came for a quick check up. Something seems wrong with my powers. My magic is no longer effective. One of the humans-a lady - is invulnerable to my powers. "
Lord danvey, the divine envoy pulled off her spectacles, her eyeballs bulged out, her mind raced a bit, but she shook her head, driving away the suspicion. "That has never occurred, strange!" She uttered.
Arkush's face went pale, and he stared execrably at them. " Could there be a possibility that the human is who you have been searching for? Could she be Ayra? " He stated, feeling uncertain about his suggestion.
The atmosphere was oppressive, like a physical weight had settled over the group. The air was thick with tension, making it hard to breathe, hard to think. It was as if the very oxygen had grown heavy, like a dense fog that clung to their skin.
" No!" Kan-song spoke out loud, shaking his head. " I could have known it she was her, but she doesn't have the luminary pearl. Throughout the past generations, I've met thousands of ladies with her appearance, but her reborn form might be in another look. The true her will come with the luminary pearl. " He articulated.
Lord danvey casted a glare at him. " My clairvoyance would have detected her a long time ago. No phenomenon could make her escape my sight even before she was reborn. " She glanced at him once more. " Seems you've begun to have mutual interactions and relationships with humans. That would give you an end more bitter and more painful than the other. "
" Mistress, don't you think you are causing the young lord to pass through his trauma once more. Please take it easy. " Arkush said, staring at his mentor, rudely harassing kan.
Kan-song glanced at the towers with weary eyes.
Lord danvey stood up, pressing her palm to the table. " Yes, he should always remember, that was the cause for his downfall, and now he shall forever bear the eternal pain. " She spoke insolently.
" What?" Kan asked weakly, his hands vibrating randomly. He shook his head as he recalled what was to be considered the most devastating moment. A scene that reflected sorrow, agony, great sadness, and mental pain. He felt terrible and developed a heartache. It was then that his memories flashed back, rewining his mind into his previous life...?
****
Back into the days, kan-song was clothed in supremacy and elating majesty when he was the renowned god of the stars and mountains. A supreme, glorious, and astounding being. When he controlled the nirvana and lived among other gods in the beautiful and splendid paradise.
In the palace gardens, where sunlight danced through blossoms, Kan's heart awaited its awakening. That's where he found Ayra, a gentle soul with a wildflower spirit, nurturing the beauty around her." Hey," He whispered to her, and she replied with a warm smile.
" What took you so long?" She asked.
" A couple of things. " He replied as he grasped her hand and strode along the garden.
As their eyes entwined, the air vibrated with an otherworldly connection. His voice, laced with wonder, whispered, "In a garden of countless blooms, you are the rarest flower – delicate, yet resilient."
Ayra's smile, a soft unfurling of petals, revealed the beauty within. "And you, Your Highness, are the warmth that coaxes life from the earth," she replied, her words a gentle breeze rustling the leaves.
As they strolled hand in hand, the garden's secrets unfolded.Kan discovered Ayra's passion for botany, and she, his hidden love for poetry. In the moonlit gazebo, their hearts harmonized like the sweetest serenade.
Kan's fingers intertwined with Sophia's, his touch igniting a tender flame. "In your eyes, I've found the missing verse to my life's poem," he confessed, his voice a tender whisper.
Ayra's heart fluttered like a captured bird. "And in your touch, I've discovered the soil where my soul can bloom," she replied, her voice a melodic sigh.
Their lips met, and the universe conspired to make their love eternal. The prince and the florist had unearthed a treasure – a love that would forever flourish, hidden in plain sight, yet radiant as the brightest bloom.
HOWEVER...
It was a dark day, the cloud was moody, and the day was cold. In a desolate arena, two figures stood poised for a final confrontation. Kan grasped his golden sword, its light dimmed by the shadows of his heart. He staggered in the forest, vomiting blood. Before him stood Ayra, his former love, now a formidable opponent.
Their eyes met, and Kan's gaze faltered, his mind racing with memories of their past. Ayra's expression remained resolute, her eyes cold as steel.
"Am sorry, but good is good, and evil is evil. There's no hope for you. " He plainly said.
" You still are unrelenting. " She raised her sword at him. "Come at me once more. "
He lifted his head in annoyance, charged forward, lifting his body away from the ground. His golden sword flashing in the dim light. She drew her own sword, their blades clashing in a deadly dance. He fought valiantly against her, clenching his sword against her in a disordered manner, aiming dangerous attacks towards her, but she retaliated badly, fighting violently and ferociously like a lion crying for a fresh meat. She sommersaulted in the air and almost sliced his face, but he hastily dodged her attacks and tried to regain his stance.
As they fought, Kaito's thoughts swirled with memories of their past: stolen glances, whispered promises, and tender touches. But with each strike, her indifference chipped away at his resolve.
She adjusted her sword and inflicted slight cuts all over his body. They exchanged magical impulses, kan-song pushed large bluish fumes towards her, and she did the same, enchanting a reddish spell which overpowered him, throwing him off and knocking him out.
He moved backwards and stood agile. She turned around around and moved violently at him once again. Then, subconsciously, his sword cut through her fabric and sliced her chest, piercing into her heart, draining every bit of life from her body. His eyes instantly widened, and he was frozen with shock. His mind was devastated. He had full control over the sword, and he recalled stabbing her. He pulled out the sword in perplexity. He was dumbfounded, but whatever was worth the sacrifice to ensure continuous peace in the realm.
If exterminating the one he loved was the price, he was ready to go to all extent. He was more than ready to exterminate her and leave no trace of life in her.
"How could you?" Her voice rang out before she her eyelids collapsed. He watched in utmost shock as her pure red blood flowed out in drops unto the flowers and carefully slid to the ground, rendering the soil barren, the bright multi-coloured flowers shrunk, lost their colours and perished.
The sky darkened, and a heavy wind blew across, disturbing the peaceful serenity of the paradise as it shook the trees mightily, followed by an ultrasonic roar of thunder.
Within a second, a spark of lightning came thuddering down with a strong effect, burning down everything it came across as it struck between them, creating a huge impact. With an explosion and gush of powerful wind accompanied with a sudden bright light, it blew them far away from each other, sending thick black smokes into the air, the mighty waves pushing them apart, the bond of attraction and honest love shattering into pieces.
A sorrowful breeze blew along, rustling the leaves. There he lay, on the other side, watching her hands fall. He listened to her final heartbeat and last breath of air.
"Ayra!" He shouted.
