  It was probably around four when the bar finally grew quiet and one by one, the staff started to leave. Beatrix came to hug me before she left and the manager came to thank me for the fiftieth time, telling me she’d be calling me more often for shifts if I was available. Julia and I were the last to stay behind since we had made a bigger mess than we expected — mainly me since it had been a while since I had done this — so I protested only half-heartedly when she told me to leave the rest for her and go home.   After a minute of arguing, I caved in and went to get my stuff. I didn’t bother changing out of the uniform, I had to get it dry-cleaned anyway to get all the alcohol and blood from it, so I grabbed the last of the trash and waved Julia goodbye before heading toward the back exit
