  I woke up from my shoulder pulsating painfully while I lay with my head on the window, back uncomfortably twisted to the side. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, glancing at the back seat, only to find Elijah still sleeping there. A sigh of relief escaped my lips and I allowed myself a look around.   I was still in Gabriel’s car, covered with his jacket.
