Alpha’s Chance at Love

Amelia POV My name is Amelia and tonight is my seventeenth birthday, not only is it my birthday but I will finally shift for the first time and be able to find my mate. My Father, Alpha Samson decided to hold our mating ceremony tonight in honor of my birthday. I am not sure if he is trying to get rid of me or if it is out love. My mother and Luna says it out of love and he does adore me but sometimes I wonder. He is a great father and an even better Alpha. He adores his family and leads the pack with devotion, strength, love and a firm but fair hand if needed. “Mom, what time do I need to get ready? I’m not even dressed yet.” Luna Stella looks at her daughter and still sees the little girl she once held in her arms. “Amelia, I told you we will start getting ready soon and the guest will in an hour. I will mindlink Chloe to come now to work on your hair and makeup. That should take an hour.” Amelia looks at her loving mother and is curious what she will do when her brother, James takes over the Alpha position with his mate Lori next month. My wolf, Mercy, has been talking nonstop since we woke this morning. “You need to be patient Amelia. I told you the moon goddess has a plan for us and she is never wrong.” Mercy says. “Well I for one can’t wait to see what you look like. If we get our mate tonight too that will be an add bonus.” Amelia tells her wolf. Once Chloe comes we go straight to my room to get ready. “So how excited are you to shift tonight and possibly meet your mate?” Chloe says as she is putting the finishing touches on my make up. I honestly can’t wait to see what I look like. I’m not horrible looking with long brown wavy hair, chocolate brown eyes, and natural tan skin. I am also only 5”8, which is short for a werewolf. Amelia looks up at Chloe and says, “ I am so excited to see what Mercy looks like since she won’t tell me. As for a mate, I am torn. What if he doesn’t want me or if he is an a$$ hole? What if he rejects me on the spot?” Chloe just stares at Amelia, “For one there is no chance he will reject you and for two I would kick his a$$. You have nothing to worry about. Are you ready to see yourself?” Amelia takes a deep breath and then looks in the mirror, “oh my goddess there are no words.” Alpha Cassius POV “Owen are we close?” Owen is my best friend but he is also my Beta. We grew up together and have been best friends since before we could walk. It helps that we are born three hours apart. “Cassius we have about fifteen minutes. You need to calm down.” “I know but Ragnor has been restless all day. He won’t tell me what is going on.” Alpha Cassius answers. Something is going on with my wolf but he refuses to tell me. I am hoping tonight to finally find my mate. I am 20 years old and most Alpha’s have their mate before they take on the title of Alpha.
