“Are you drunk?!. Maybe you're drunk man and it's not good!, 'cause you might fall there!. Get back here!” Vincent's voice.
“f**k, how's that possible?...” he replied confusedly in a low voice while taking another look at the water.
(Phone call dropped)
Miguel grabs his beer idling on the ground and immediately headed back to the bar with the same unsteady movement.
From another table, where there are six girls enjoying their conversation together near the black tinted glass window. Margaret turned her look to Vincent.
She pushes back her chair as she stand up to leave her girl friends. She's wearing a white dress and carrying a shoulder bag on her left hand.
“Hey.” she seated beside him on the left.
“Hm?, oh hey.” he noticed her.
“I have something to give you.” she takes something in her bag layed on her lap.
“What's that?” he watches her looking for something inside her bag.
“Here.” she showed him a silver crucifix that has a length of a pinky finger.
“Hey, that's my lost pendant.” he was surprised when he's eyes rolled down to it, “Thanks. Um, where did you found it?” his left hand took it from her right palm.
“What?,” she felt surprised too, “your lost pendant?”
“Yeah, this was my father's gift to me.” he take a closer look of it and his surprised looks shows how much valuable that thing is, “How did you find it?” he stared at her with a kiddingly doubting look.
“Hey, I'm not what you're thinking.” she turned her body a little to the right, “Remember the day when you gave me a birthday gift when I turned sixteen?... I saw it in there.” she laughingly explained.
Chuckles, “Really?” Vincent is still staring with the same doubting look.
“Yes. Do I look like I'm lying?” her eyes showed him a very curious look.
“Uh... A little.” he smirkingly replied and looked back again to his pendant.
She chuckles, “Seriously?, you really think that I took it away from you?”
Vincent took a glance at her and laughed because of her startled reaction, but later admitted that he was just kidding.
Margaret slaps his left arm as a friendly revenge and his left shoulder twitches.
Miguel came back, “How did he?” and there he saw Vincent laughing with Margaret.
He was surprised for a moment and then walked unsteadily heading to Vincent.
“He-hey! Miguel!, You're really drunk man! look at your face! hahaha!.” another friend suddenly stops him from reaching Vincent, “Come'on let's drink more.” he wrap his arm around Miguel's nape to prevent him from getting away.
Miguel takes a closer look to the beer on his right hand and wondered if he is really drunk. Then the other guy pulled him away but his eyes are still confusedly staring at Vincent.
As the conversation of Vincent and Margaret continued, another strange feeling of heat showed up to him, but it was happening on the other hand.
His gripping left hand is releasing a small amount of vapour that isn't much visible in the eyes of everyone, it is very clear.
As the heat continuously releases on his hand, Vincent's sight gradually shows a waving movements.
He suddenly feel dizzy as he look around, feeling like he's about to fall.
“Are you, okay?” she noticed his weird look.
Vincent's eyes rolled down to his crucifix gripped by his left hand laying on the table, he quickly took out a leather wallet from his right leg pocket and put the crucifix into the first lower pocket, then he put it back to the same leg pocket.
He thought that the crucifix might be the cause of his sudden dizziness.
When it's gone on his hand, the feeling of heat and dizziness gradually fades away. He nodded down with closed eyes then his right hand's fingers presses the center of his forehead and gently slides it apart for several times while his elbow is layed on the table.
He did it to help lessen the feeling ofwith dizziness.
“What's happening?” she touches his left shoulder.
“Nothing, it's just uh...” he nodded up and his sight returned to normal, “a sudden sickness. It often happens to me.”
“I'll get you a water.” she untouches his left shoulder.
“Thanks.” he said and took a deep sigh.
Margaret stood up and immediately headed to the beverage station.
When Vincent takes a look on his left hand, he was silently surprised by the image of a burned mark that is the same of the crucifix's form on his palm.
Vincent wonderingly stared at it for a while and flipped his hand when he noticed Margaret coming back holding a glass of water.
“Here.” she handed it to him and seated.
“Thanks.” he said and takes the glass of water to drink it.
“How do you feel?, do you need a medicine?” she asked again while observing his face.
“No I'm fine, it's not a serious illness, I'm used to it.” he smilingly replied.
“Are you sure?. It's still an illness, you can't be sure that it's fine.” she's still curious.
“Yeah I'm good, don't worry about it.” he noddingly replied.
Vincent tried to change their topic by talking about other stuffs with their friends. He acted normal despite of the strange events that happened to him this night.
