Chapter 6: Adjustment Period
Monday morning comes way too soon, and just like that the fairytale dream life of lazily hanging out by the lake in a remote cabin is faded and the stress of bills, work, and life in general seeps back in. It's really too bad I don't have a rich, distant cousin in Nigeria that passed away and left me, his sole heir, all his wealth. I would be really good at spending his money not doing work and traveling. Oh well, it's a new day, I have a roof over my head, and Tommy and I are healthy and happy. For that I am grateful. I hop out of bed, and after securing that Tommy is still sleeping, I take a nice hot shower.
This week is Tommy's last week of daycare, so when I drop him off at Marty's, I pull her aside to talk to her.
