Jana ran into Bill’s office followed by Knuckles and Cade. “Bill!” she yelled.
Seated behind his desk, Bill startled. “Good Lord, child.”
“Look at this!” She handed the watch to him. “It’s a—”
“Personal radiation detector,” he said as he stood from his chair.
Jana said, “It’s Talia’s. It’s her watch. Bill, that strip wasn’t bright pink the other day. I’m sure of it. But now it is. Talia has been exposed to radiation, and I think I know where.”
Uncle Bill’s eyes squinted as the thoughts played forward. “You don’t think—”
“It has to be,” she said.
“What?” Cade said.
“The gravesite,” Jana said. “Think about it. The Israeli government has a grave exhumed in the middle of the night? We’ve said all along there had to be something of value in that coffin.”
Knuckles said. “You mean?”
