Magic: The school where they could learn it (Chapter 2)

1032 Words
The word “magic” has different meanings in our lives. Magic is always a phenomenon that we think is of a parallel life. In actuality, magic helps us understand the invisible world. We humans think that life consists of us and the animals only but in reality, there is an infinite number of beings on the infinite number of planets.  Before we move the story to the magic school where Michael may or may not get enrolled, a quick glimpse of Michael and Angela’s story is given below as a continuation: Michael finally decides to go talk to Angela. She is the daughter of the king’s mightiest advisor. Her father’s name was Daniel. He was a brave survivor of the war where Michael’s brother had died. He was his best friend. He was extremely sorrowful when his pal died in front of his eyes. As he knew their house, Michael walked to it and saw Angela getting dressed up. He blushed after seeing her like this. It was as if a moon had appeared inside a house, lighting everything in the house up. She looked at him and smiled. He approached her and introduced himself.   Angela: No need to introduce yourself, sir! I already know who you are. Michael: Really? “Yes, I do! My father tells me a lot about you. I judged you from your physical appearance.” “Well, I came to tell something to you.” “Why don’t you come inside first, young lord?” Michael steps inside the house. The house is of the wooden interior from inside but it captivated him on a whole new level. He blushed again after seeing Angela. His father always advised him that “if you love someone, you should take the first chance and tell them on their face”. He told Angela that he loved her. Angela started to smile but that smile was out of happiness.  “But I think of you as a brother. How could you possibly say you love me when you only saw me for the first time?” After listening to this, Michael became a little disappointed but then he narrated the poem which he wrote only for the lady. She was impressed by the poem and they became friends from that point on.  They used to talk for hours and hours. Both of them were interested in literature and poetry so they used to exchange whatever they all wrote. Suddenly, Michael asks Angela a question that baffles her. What happened next is the story of another chapter. Duncan was sitting at a tavern where wines were given. He heard two people talking about Michael and how he gets visions of the future. Duncan became curious and asked them about him. They told him about the prince and he followed the Castleville through an old map. The map was rusty but it smelled nice. The smell was like a smell of an old forest which was deeply emerged of trees and greenery. He went ahead and sought permission to enter the castle. He was permitted to enter because of his mighty status in the non-magical world. Everyone knew that he was a magician. His magical tales were admired by the king, although he did not believe in superstitions.  Duncan saw Michael. He felt something different. It felt nostalgic. Suddenly, before Duncan’s eyes, his memories started to float. He took a hold of himself and went to say something to Michael. As soon as he got near him, he felt a magenta light on his shoulders. Yes, that was a sign that Michael could become a wizard. It was the same light that he saw for many successful magicians who completed all of their travels and adventures. Duncan did not say a word to Michael but he did greet him and introduced himself. He then asked the subjects to have an appointment with the king. “He knows who I am. Tell His Highness that Duncan is here.” King James and the Sorcerer King James was very pleased to see his old friend back. They met again after fifteen years. He offered him an invitation for a meal during the evening which Duncan accepted. They shared wine and walked down memory lane. The king told him how he managed to rule such a vast and great empire whereas the wizard told him about his magical expeditions and his wizarding school.  James was very happy when he found out that Duncan was doing something he was skilled at. They talked for two hours and afterward, James asked him to rest at a very special place. He went to see Michael and they had a light conversation. Then Duncan told him about the purpose of his arrival. “Do you think that I can become a wizard?” “Yes.” Michael’s whole universe was shaken by that affirmative response. “Fascinating, I have always wanted to become one. It was my dream to meet a skillful magician during my life.” “Well, your dream is fulfilled and it’s high time that you become one.” “How would I become one?” “I will request your father to let me take you as a student at my school.” Michael and Duncan took a long walk in the prince’s garden. Duncan told him about the adventures of his magical life. He asked him how he had become interested in going into casting magic spells and all. He replied that he was a son of a Duke of Vistaville. His father had died five years after his birth and he would wander around in the world, traveling from place to place. He, then, found an Alchemist who taught him about the “hidden” wonders. Duncan was very inspired and motivated by him because he had never seen such tricks in his life before. It felt like magic could replace all of his pains and sorrows. It was the time of the meal when Duncan was invited. A new chapter in Michael’s life was about to start. But will King James accept it?  Read the following chapter on Michael’s fate.
