Episode 8 - The morning after luca's POV

I woke up feeling completely overwhelmed by the gift the moon goddess had given me, I had a second chance mate and with my best freind, how could I not be happy, Axel was the one person who was there for me through everything, I've shared my deepest feelings with, who I've looked up to and shared everything with since I became part of his family all those years ago, he helped me when Katherine rejected me,

Katherine Sally Mitchell was my mate and the most popular girl in school, I was sat with Axel in cafeteria of Moor Park High School and Sixth Form, we usually, didn't go to school early but onyx he's my wolf, was uneasy all morning and he told me to go, we went to the cafeteria and sat in there before class, low and behold Katherine walked in with her friends, she was beautiful, long straight blonde hair, blue eyes, thin lips, tall for a female, and very thin, she always looked flawless and now when I think about it she was all fake, fake nails, fake lashes, big boobs always wore the most fashionable clothes, she was the daughter to the last Gamma, Graham Mitchell he was an amazing Gamma and if she had put effort in so would Katherine she would have also been been a great Gamma for Axel, as soon as I seen her, I couldn't help myself it took me so much strength in me to stop onyx from surfacing,

"MATE!!" I shouted at her from across the room, she wanted me to or at least that what I thought, for weeks and weeks, I got to know everything about her, what she liked, what she didn't like, favourite music, clothes, shoes, favourite color, favourite food, I met her parents properly, Graham and Sophie Mitchell, her brother and sister, William and Megs, I bought her presents everytime I seen her, then we set a date for our mating ceremony, and wedding 5th August, I was stood with Axel, and his dad was to officiate for us, she stood at the door and walked in on her own my god she was stunning, a beautiful designer gown, at the time I never thought that much about it but the dress reminding me of a ostrich, but I was totally smitten and obsessed with making her mine I couldn't see the bad, anyway i thought my heart would burst out of my chest the moment I seen her, she was dressed in a beautiful red gown feathers everywhere, it clung in all the right places, she had a red rose in her hair, we stood at the alter infront of anyone,

"NO!!!" she shouted at me

"whats the matter my love?" I asked her but she didn't even give me an answer,

"I Katherine Sally Mitchell, Reject you Luca Jason Parker to be my mate" so certainly and even proud she said it,

I collapse on the floor, Axel caught me, I was, writhing and screaming on the floor a pain I've never felt anything like it before, like my heart was being ripped out of my chest, onyx was howling in my head, Axel held me,

"accept her rejection Luca it will help the pain" Axel told me

but how could I? I couldn't accept my mates rejection until I knew why she rejected me,

"WWWWWHHHHHYYYY!!!" I growled the whole ground shook stopping everyone in their tracks,

"WHY WOULD I WANT YOU, YOUR NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME, AXEL IS!!!!"

she shouted back at me, gasps could be heard from all over the room, I was in total shock, how could I compete with that, it was Axel she wanted, an Alpha not a Beta,

"its always been Axel, I was disappointed that day in the cafeteria but I thought if I went out with you it would make him want me, and I could spend more time with him on his own, did you really think I could settle and love someone like you" she continued, Axel was as shocked as me but at the time I couldn't help but take it out on him to, I stood up clutching my chest the pain still as severe as it was the few moments earlier, with every ounce of courage I had left I accepted Katherine's rejection, "I Luca Jason Parker, accept your rejection my mate Katherine Sally Mitchell I reject you as you rejected me"

I stood firm in place, Axel right behind me supporting me as he always had, the pain eased after that but the hurt I felt, the humiliation, the mockery she made of me, I had to get out of there, I ran, thunder and lightning with lashings of rain, I let onyx take over we ran all the way to Axels, family cabin that was situated between settle and long Preston, where there are twists and turns in the river ribble, I felt at peace there, our pack house was just outside of Preston, in Leyland, the cabin wasn't that far away from there it gave me peace and a place to get perspective, I disappeared... for weeks and weeks on end I stayed there, Axel somehow knew where I had gone, he came to see me everyday, and slowly but surely he convinced me that I didn't need Katherine, which I know now truer than ever, I didnt need her, I eventually apologised to Axel for thinking he had something to do with it, deep down I always knew he didn't, but I was blinded by the sadness and anger, I will always be grateful to him for bringing me back.

A year later, our pack was under attack, they were coming from all angles, we defended our pack borders with honor and Integrity, we won but those we lost, were hard to bare, amongst those lost was Katherine, her body lay slumped over a tree root, her heart and throat ripped out, I stood over her body thinking I would need to greive for her but as it was, I didnt feel anything for her, It was unfortunate that she could never find the happiness I always wanted her to find, it made me realise I had closure to that part of my life I could move on,

This morning I was thanking the moon goddess over and over for my second chance mate and it was with Axel we were to share one she wolf, well drawolf I remember all those years ago, she saved us both from the rogue, even though we had been mean to her, her face now is etched into my mind, she looked out of this world last night, I cant believe how beautiful she is, after years and years of not seeing her when we came to the festivals, jake had told us she was to leave while the festival was going on it was safer for her that way, all I could think of was how much I wanted to hold her... kiss her... make her ours... have our pups with her, I needed her... I craved her... I got out of bed, showered and went to find axe, I couldn't wait any longer, when I got to his room, he was already dressed and grinning like a Cheshire cat, as was I, "morning bro, slept well?" I asked

" morning bro to you to, I didn't sleep well thinking about leesh, what could she have gone through while she's stayed here" axe replied

I told him "we need to listen to Whitney and take our time she's been through so much, and she has to tell us herself, it makes my blood boil thinking of anyone hurting her, I want to protect her, I would die for her if it meant it kept her safe, like she did all those years for us she put her life on the line for us and now its our time to protect her"

axe agreed with me "your right"

"Whitney said to let her tell us we can't push her" I said

"we have to wait for her to feel the mate bond, she has to find us like we found her and until she knows its us we can't tell a soul, we need to give her time, we are meeting them tonight, I need to apologise for last night too" axel was so angry at himself for what he said to leesh, the good thing was he could fix it now,

"come let's go get some food and look forward to seeing her" I eagerly said

we went down to the hall, everyone was there scarlet was sat at the top of the table my parents sat beside her, and on the otherside, was that man from last night who leesh tried to get away from, I nudged Axel as we walked towards two empty seats next to my mother, he noticed who it was, mum greeted us both we kissed her cheek "good morning you two, how did the mating ball go last night?"

"nothing much to tell really, mum we didn't find our mates" Alex replied

mum looked disappointed "oh well maybe tonight you will find them"

"yeah maybe" I replied

dad looked questionly at us both but never said anything "boys as you know this is Scarlet Williams, and this is her fiancé Carlos"

we both nodded "nice to meet you Carlos" Carlos recognised us he tensed a little before a cocky smirk formed on his lips, "nice to meet you boys to" he replied "so do you boys have any plans today" asked scarlet,

I was quick thinking "we thought we would take a run around your land if that was ok we need to exercise and relax before we meet all of your beautiful unmated females"

Scarlet smiled and flicked her hand towards me "oh luca you charmer you" she fake laughed, I felt the same sicky feeling I felt when I saw leesh last night with Carlos, Axel must have to because I sensed him tense up, I linked him

'axe I don't trust either of them, we need to get out of here before I do something I regret and puts leesh in danger'

axe replied 'let's finish eating and get out of here, I want to go and see this Jack, leesh said about last night,'

'do you not trust him' I asked

'im not sure but I at least want to know who he is' he said

"leesh said he was her protector" I said

"I know but I want to be sure" axel said

we finished our breakfast and left to go into the woods, as we reached the boundary of the forest, and the Manor garden, we took our clothes and onyx and diesel carried them for us we shifted diesel was black, and onyx was a full chocolate brown wolf, we began to run through the woods the wind in our fur the padding of our paws on the woodland floor, after an hour a scent we knew all to well overwhelmed our senses, it was her, she was near most likely with Jack and Whitney, we came to a clearing, there was a cabin that stood at the edge of the lake and a pier that lead into the water, there was a woman stood on the steps leading on to the pier, she was looking up at the sky, I followed where she was looking, but couldn't see anything, I had smelt her scent before, Whitney that must be her, so where is leesh I can't see her but her scent is strong, the closer we get, Whitney seen us and walked towards us,

Whitney "good morning, Alpha Axel and Beta Luca"

we were shocked she knew who we were after last night we had only exchanged a few words but never our names but I guess being a witch that was, something she could do, we all walked towards the cabin, a tall man came out of the cabin, and instantly shifted at seeing Whitney with me and axe, he jumped to the side of Whitney and began growling at us, Whitney put her hand on his front left shoulder he calmed a little, and looked at her, "my love it is Alpha Axel and Beta Luca they are here to see leesh" Whitney told him, he calmed, bowed to axe and me as did we to him, he and Whitney turned, and walked towards the cabin, Whitney walked into the cabin, Jack, Axel and myself shifted back, we were naked until Whitney came out of the cabin covering her eyes me and axe got dressed, in the clothes diesel and onyx had carried for us l, whitney brought Jack a pair of his shorts out, he got dressed, once we were covered, Jack gently placed his hand on Whitneys, "you can look now my love" he said softly, he kissed her, I couldn't help but feel a twinge in my heart, I wanted to kiss leesh like that right now I knew I needed to stay calm,

"Whitney where's leesh? she's here I can smell her" I asked her,

"she's flying today" she replied

I looked up Whitney and Jack laughed at me,

"what are you doing bro?" axel questioned me

"I'm looking for leesh, I want to see her" I replied

Jack, Whitney and Axe were all laughing at me looking up to the skies for leesh, when, a wolf I have never seen before jumped on to the pier in front of us, a rogue, then another jumped beside the first one then another they were infront of us, growling, the next thing we heard was, the cracking of the trees and a huge gust of wind pass as leesh swooped down and knocked them into the water, she landed on the sand, the rogues jumped out of the lake, and began attacking leesh, she hurt two.of them but the third jumped on her back and bit down into her shoulder, her growled, as she ripped him from her back, she ripped his throat out throwing him to the floor, Axel, me and Jack, shifted, Jack took one rogue out while I took the other, we were beginning to walk over to see if leesh was ok when more rogues appeared from the woodlands, leesh stood up and growled and roared as loud as she could the animals left the trees the ground shock the rogues losing their balance it was like something else was taking over her body she ripped into the rogues, killing 6, in one hit, we all joined in, we stood by leesh like she stood by us, the leader of the rogues stalked to the top of a ledge just before the woodland, he watched on, as we anialated his members, leesh stood below the ledge a pile of dead wolves round her feet, the leader launched himself at her she, laid down on her back and using her paws launched him across the sand, he ran back up to her she dodged his attack to her neck, he attacked again, but he misjudged she wrapped her jaw around his neck and squeezed causing the leader to yelp, she spat him out leaving him alive and injured on the sandy floor, she turned her back and he lunged at her, Jack lunged for him and killed him, once all of the rogues were dead we moved them while in our, wolf forms, Whitney set the pile on fire, leesh slowly walked into the water, the water, slowly consumed her drawolf, when she disappeared under the water, Axel and me got worried and was about to run into the water after her, "JUST WAIT!!" Whitney shouted from behind us, we did as she said and waited, a few moments passed, my heart was beginning to race, then she rose out of the water in her drawolf form she used her wings to fly straight up to the sky, she flip upside down, free fell so far, opening her wings wide to then gently land in front of us, she shifted to her human form... she was naked... I will admit we looked but then we turned to give her some privacy so she could put something on,

"you can turn around now" leesh said from behind us, we turned, moved to sit in our wolf forms infront of her, she was dressed in shorts and a vest top, she looked at us both, then moved forward with her hands held out... she ran her hands through our furs, electricity flowed through our bodies from her touching us, I had never felt so alive in all my life, our tails happily waved as her hands travelled over our wolves, she suddenly removed her hands, we both whined at the absence of her hands, she giggled that was like music to our ears, she turned around, we shifted back, Whitney had her eyes covered as Jack and her walked over to us, Jack threw us a pair of shorts each, we put them on,

"you can turn around now" I said smiling at her,

"what are you two doing here?" she said

"we came for a run before we had to go to the ball tonight, we didn't know you were here" axel replied leesh walked off in the direction of the cabin

Whitney followed her,

"she looks annoyed" i asked jack

"she is at both of you" Jack replied

"why" I asked

"she knew you were both here before you knew she was, you both put yourselves in danger to see her, she's not your usual type she hates others in danger especially the ones she cares about she won't let anyone die for her though...that's just her stubborn streak in her its a curse," we all laughed leesh heard us and looked at us, we all instantly stopped laughing, she smirked and turned around,

"your her mates arnt you?!" Jack asked us

"yes we are and your her protector," I said

"yes... look leesh needs time, am.sure you already know this there is alot you both don't know, she'll tell you in her own time,"

"what is she Jack?" Axel asked Jack

"she is a drawolf, and that's as much as I will tell you, please patient and let her tell you" jack replied

we nodded and got on with the job in hand once all the carcasses were burned and the fire died down we extinguished it, we dug a hole and put the remains and ashes from the fire in the hole and we buried it all.

leesh walked towards the edge of the lake climbed the porch steps and walked to the end of the pier and sat with her feet in the water I walked towards her,

"this seat taken?" I asked her

"no go ahead" I sat down next to her

"im sorry I put myself in danger to come and see you" I said

"its ok I guess, you wernt hurt this time but next time dont do it" she said

"I promise I won't from now on" I said

"sorry i shouldn't tell you what to do but I would do anything to protect those I love" leesh said

"its ok I understand thank you by the way" I said

"for what" she asked

"for saving me and axe again" I said

"your welcome" she smiled at me and I swear my heart stopped we were looking at each other when axe came and sat behind us she looked at him and again she was frozen looking at us, she turned round to look at the lake again,

then out of know where

"your both mated to me arnt you?" she asked

we both stared at her then looked at each other,

"leesh can you feel the mate bond" axe replied

"I don't think so but you feel so familiar to me, like I belong to you both, I can feel a connection to you both but its not clear yet" leesh said

"thats ok your not of age yet, you may connect to us earlier than normal but you may not until your 18th birthday which if memory serves me right, is in 17 days not that anyone is counting" I said chuckling

we all laugh, and she turns to smile at us both,

"all we want to do is spend some time with you, get to know you and you get to know us then if by your 18th birthday you want to reject us you can? we will understand we were horrible to you all those years ago" axe said taking us both by surprise,

"I would never reject the mates the moon goddess made for me, but if once you both know everything, you want to reject me I will understand the past is in the past I've suffered much worse than name calling" leesh said surprise us both,

"well it looks like none of us will be rejecting each other as we cherish the treasures the moon goddess has given us" i replied we smile then we notice Leesh's smile fades Whitney runs over to us.

"leesh come with me you need to hide with me" Whitney interupted

"its him isn't it? " leesh said annoyed "yes it is now let's go" whitney replied,

she jumped up and ran into the house me and axe walked casually over to Jack and watched as Carlos with some of his freinds came out of the woods riding horses they surrounded us and the house,

"well as if it isn't the Alpha of the blue moon pack and his beta" Carlos said

axe replied "why Carlos hello what can we do for you on this fine summer day" Carlos lifted his eyebrow to axel "well I came to run our horses they don't get much time to run since our wolves need to run often"

axe replied again he was on a roll "how right you are Carlos"

"what do you want Carlos?" jack asked

"you know what I want, and I know you have them" Carlos answered

"you think you know I have them but as I have told you before and you have searched my house before, they are not here" Jack replied

"very well I will leave you alone until the next time, but if I find out you are lying your life will not be worth living" Carlos said satisfied with jacks answer,

and just like that they all left, I

questioned Jack

"Jack what was that all about?"

Jack replied "let's go in to the house, I think we have the answers you seek"

we walked in to the house, and as soon as the door was shut leesh and Whitney came out of where they were hiding, Whitney ran to Jack they kissed and cuddle, I watched as they told each other they loved one another, I glanced at leesh who was smiling at them both then looked at me when she felt me and axe staring at her, she moved her eyes between the both of us we all smiled at each other, when Jack brought us out of the trance we were in.

"leesh, I believe Axel and Luca deserve the truth" he suggested

leesh nodded her head "me to" she looked at both of us and Jack motioned for us to sit down. what we were about to be told was nothing like we imagined...
