~Mia's P.O.V.~
3 weeks later. Today is my birthday, I always have spent the first half of the day with my mom and Tom and the second half with my pack. I got up and got dressed, I
put on a pair of light blue ripped jeans and a black v-neck shirt, I packed a back pack with a black crop top, grey ripped jeans and my leather jacket, for when i go
to my pack. I walked down stairs and set the back pack down by the stairs and walked to the kitchen "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" my mom, Tom, Avery and Callie yelled "aww thank
you guys" i said, I walked over to Avery and whispered "I almost punched mom" he laughed. The day went on with them giving me presents and hanging out with me, untill
noon "hey guys im sorry but I have to go" "why do you always leave so sudden at noon every year?" my mom asked "you know I have other friends other than Callie" i said
"okay, then you wont mind if we go with you" i froze 'Hey Mia are you coming?' Mike mind-linked me 'yeah give me an hour' i ended the link "Im Eightteen you don't
need to know my every move" i snapped, then I drove to the Lake carring my back pack then shifted my back pack in my mouth than I ran to my land. When i got there
everyone either said "happy birthday" or they jost bowed their heads, I got im mine and Mikes house then went up to my room so I can shift (we share a house since im
like the daughter he never had. This the place I stay when I don't feel like going home) when I shifted and got dressed I walked down stairs and saw Mike in the
kitchen trying to make a cake "do you need help with that?" I laughed as he froze "happy birthday!" he said bringing me into a hug "thank you" I said pulling away
from the hug "im sorry I'm late my mom was in interigation mode" he laughed "you being here means you managed to slip away" "hell yeah" i said walking over to his
sorry attempt to make a cake "do you want me to help you with this THING" he laughed "sure, you always were the baker" i laughed at his comment. When we finished the
cake we walked to the 'pack house', when we walked in everyone yelled "SUPRISE!" "thank you guys" I said as I walked to the living room "while I had you distrated
helping me with the cake they did this" Mike said motioning to the entire house "thank you guys so much". The rest of the day was very fun, we party'd, we drank and
just hung out (the werewolfs are finally alowed to drink when we turn 18, it takes a lot for a werewolf to get drunk) It was 4 and I got a call from my mom "hey mom"
I said "hey I found your car but your not there, where the hell are you?" I put myself on mute "everyone shush my moms on the phone!" I took myself off mute "were
hanging out in a clearing in the woods" I lied "stop lying, I checked all the closest clearing" s**t, I panicked and did the only thing i thought of, I hung up "f**k!"
I yelled throwing my phone at the wall "sweetie are you ok?" Mike asked worried "no my mom knows in not in the clearing like I told her" i said worried "sweetie, calm
down your eys are going red" i tried and tried to calm down but i couldn't "I think im going to go in a run, any of you all wanna go with?" "me, and Cassie will go"
Liam said (Liam has been with me since I joined this rogue pack, he's my best friend) "acctually I don't want to, Liam you can go with her" Cassie said (Cassie is
Liam's twin sister) "im fine with that let's go" I said getting up "ok but lets stay way from the clearings" "agreed" we both went outside and shifted 'oooo, lets go
to the lake' Liam said once we shifted 'yes lets go on a swim. I'll race you' 'your on' and thats what we did, we raced to the lake. When we got there we swam for a
few minutes till I saw my mom watching us quriously 's**t! Liam we have to go my mom has seen us' I said worriedly 'ok lets go' we got out of the lake and started
to jog back to the woods "wait!" my mom shouted, we only look back at her and she had a gun pointed at us 's**t Liam you think we can out run a gun?' I asked 'we've
done it before' when he said that we took off running at full speed but then I heard the gun go off and it hit my leg, I let out a lowd howl in pain, the howl was big
enugh for the pack to hear miles away 's**t Mia' Liam said putting me on his back and started running at full speed to the pack. When we got there everyone saw me on
Liams back and the looked worried 'her mom saw us swiming then shot Mia in the leg' Liam told Mike "ok lets get her to the medical wing" he said worried, we went to
the medical wing "Mia sweetie can you shift back?" Mike asked while putting a blanket over me, i shifted and Mike carried me to a room, when he layed me down on the
bed i passed out.
