Chapter 12 Ryan felt my grip stiffen, and his face fell. “She’s here?” I winced as I turned to look behind me. There she was, Claw Hands herself, magnificent in her glowering darkness, standing right by my bedside table. “Yes. R-right over there,” I said, pointing. My hands were shaking again. The demoness rumbled another louder growl, then cast her head around the room, still on the lookout for Melissa. Ryan squinted in the direction I was pointing, then extended a hand and waved it around, his fingers passing straight through her. He shook his head, and my heart sank.
