Ch 5 Enduring you

892 Words
As Travis and I left for dinner, I couldn't help but feel guilty about Thomas. I knew when I got back, I was going to have to call him when I was alone and tell him I feel about everything. It's not fair for me to start liking someone else and keep stringing him along. I just watched the cars go by as we drove to the bar and grill not too far from the training center. " Are you okay Jillian?" Travis asked me, snapping me out of my trance. "Yes, of course " I said quickly trying to get my thoughts together. " Ok, well we are here, let's go get some food" he said as he grabbed my hand out of the car and shut it behind me. We walked up to hostess and Travis asked for a private booth. The hostess led us to a booth that was close to the back, where very little people could see us. " Any particular reason why you are trying to keep me hidden, Mr Sawyer?" I asked seductively. " Well baby, I thought you wanted to keep this a secret" as he pointed to me and him. He was looking like he was fixing to pounce on me, while licking his lips. I scooted closer to him and laid my head onto his shoulder as we waited for the waiter to come back to take our order. " I know, I was just teasing you, hun." I said as I turned around and looked at him into his blue eyes and kissed him. He was somewhat taken aback that I made the first move but being with him has made me realize that life is short and we should make all the moments count. He kissed me back passionately and we started making out until the waiter came back and interrupted us. We quickly got away from each other, and ordered our food quickly. When the waiter left, we just laughed and Travis just took me in his arms and held me close. We talked about anything and everything and it felt so nice. I didn't want this moment with him to end. After dinner, we just hung out in his car talking about his college days of being a pilot and how much he enjoyed working for AMA, flying to different countries across the globe. " That's exactly why I wanted to become a flight attendant, to see the world and meet all kinds of different people. My home life wasn't the greatest, " I told him as he held my hand and soft music played in the background. "What happened? If you don't mind me asking", he said sweetly. " It's not a very happy one," I admitted but I figured if we wanted to get to know each other then it's best he knows what's going on. I proceeded to tell him about my mother and her current situation with her fiancee. I told him, my dad left when I was 3 years old to work overseas and we never heard from him again. I only had one best friend, Bre who would let me stay at her house if mine wasn't safe enought to be at. I barely dated in high school, so my relationship status is practically zero. He stopped me right there with his hand up. " You mean to tell me that you're a virgin?" his face looked shocked as he realized what he had just said. " Yes, I am. And to be honest I'm waiting for the right person to come into my life before I make that decision. I've seen all the heartbreaking things my mother has gone through and I don't want that. Some people don't believe in true love but I do, and I'm willing to wait for it." He just stared and looked at me, like a million things were going through his mind. Travis grabbed my hand softly and said, " I have never met anyone like you and I don't think I ever will. Jillian, I know we haven't known each other long but I truly feel something special for you." " I agree, Travis. You have made me so happy in the last 24 hours but I have to be honest with you. I feel the same as you but I don't want to rush into anything. I still haven't told the guy back home about all of this and I need time to do that before we go any farther. I don't want to have a guilty conscience. " He looked at me and smiled, he then raised his hand to caress my cheek. " This is what I adore about you, your honesty and I really appreciate it. We won't do anything else until you have made your decision. In all honesty, I just want you all to myself Jillian. I'm not going to let you go. " he said to me as he reached across the seat, grabbed my other cheek and kissed me furiously like he never wanted to let me go. He forced his tongue in my mouth like he couldn't get enough of me and I reciprocated with the same energy. We made out as the temperature rose within the car and you couldn't see outside the windows.
