Third Person's P.O.V.

Hera and Typhon proclaimed their love to each other by binding their souls together through the art of love on the night of the New Year. Later that morning, they had a family breakfast with Ares and broke the news to him, to say that Ares was happy to hear the news would definitely be an understatement. On the breakfast table, in middle of their family bonding time, they were interrupted by a call from Hera's secretary.

"Happy New year, Regina...I'm calling to inform you that you have an appointment with Pine Hades Knight today at 11 am sharp." she informed.

"Oh, thank you! And Happy New Year to you too, Time to rejoin the world already?" Hera sighs over the phone dramatically which earns her a chuckle from her secretary.

"The world is not a wish granting factory, M'lady! By the way, the lady you're meeting is your former sister in law, are you sure you want to meet her?" she asked.

You see, Hera's secretary Selene was her only trusted friend and she over the years happened to confide in her with the dark secrets of her past. Selene was aware that Hera hadn't been treated well and had a rough childhood but she didn't know that Hades and his wife were the only ones among her in laws who actually loved and cared about her.

"Yes , Selene. Pine Knight is the only woman from my past I trust. She wouldn't pull off anything." Hera answered while munching on her cereal quitely.

"Oh...Alright! But, I have a bad feeling about you going alone, Regina." Selene said.

"I cannot be intimidated by death itself after what I have been through." Hera stated.

The ladies chatted for awhile and later hung up the phone.

She placed a chaste kiss on Ty's lips and kissed Ares' forehead and headed to her room to get ready.

Pine and Hera were supposed to meet at a cafe.

Hera wore a pale blue coloured sundress and paired it with flat bottoms and let her hair flow.

About twenty minutes later, She arrived at her destination and spotted Pine sitting in one of the booths. The ladies spotted one another and squealed loudly which gained the attention of the other customers but they didn't mind. Pine and Hera were more than former sister in laws, they were close friends back then. The ladies hugged engulfed each other in a tight embrace.

They sat down together after ordering. 

Pine was the first one to break the silence.

"I have missed you so much, H! You've no idea how many times Hades and I thought of tracking you down but we couldn't. We were aware that you were finally free and you deserved some time alone..." she trailed off.

Hera sighed and placed her palm over Pine's.

"Pine, I thought Xeus wouldn't ever let me free...I thought I had to put up a fight and honestly, I was prepared but then he signed off the parental rights and... I was officially a divorced woman." 

"I am very sorry about last night, H. I had no idea that he would create a scene...that too in public." Pine apologized.

Hera scoffed and raised an eyebrow at her friend, "Really, Pine? We both are aware of the beast he is, why will he ever give up the chance of humiliating me or hurting me? But, I am glad that the night did not end on a bitter note." Hera said and flashed her engagement finger.

"OH MY GOD! YOU'RE ENGAGED!" Pine exclaimed, she was beaming and clearly happy for her ex sister in law.

"Engaged?" A deep manly voice interrupted the ladies. Hera and Pine both knew whom this voice belonged to. Hera was married to the owner of this voice for two dreadful years.

Pine was frozen in her seat and Hera turned around to come face to face with her biggest nightmare, Xeus Knight.

She composed herself and smiled slightly at him.

"Yes, engaged! I am going to get married soon." Hera said.

Xeus took a seat beside Hera and glared at her ring clad finger. 

"Really?I thought you could do better than that, love." Xeus stated.

"The worse I have done is probably You, Mr. Knight. How is the wound?" she mocked.

Xeus clenched his jaw and grabbed Hera's chin and pressed his nails against her skin tightly.

"Listen to me, Hera...You.are.mine. I will not give up on you." he said with an icy voice.

"I do not belong to you anymore, Xeus. Now, if you don't want a police complaint for harassment then I suggest you keep your hands to yourself." she said as she slapped his hands away.

She got up abruptly.

"H, I had no idea..." Pine said.

"I know, I believe you." Hera smiled at her friend and turned towards Xeus one last time and said, " If I were you, Mr. Knight, then I'd be terrified of a woman named Regina June, Watch yourself before you compel me to destroy you." 

She turned around and exited the cafe. 

Bu she knew that this was not the last time she was going to encounter him and she knew that she had to be stronger for this was just the calm before a thundering storm.
