Mira and Lois went back to the camp, getting to know each other on the way. The 7 soldiers were waiting for them. "So how did it go, chief? Did it go as planned?"

"It went flawlessly, just like I planned."

Mira stifled a laugh and gave Lois a knowing look, "Sure."

Everyone laughed. Lois rolled her eyes, "Haha so funny. Anyway, welcome to the best battalion in the world. We will do all the official things tomorrow. Tonight, we will drink to our heart's content and pass out. Before that let me introduce you to these idiots. The bulky man here is Kyle. He can turn into a wolf."

"Uhh, is it wise to tell her now?"

"Yes. It is wise. Soon, the battle will be coming. So no secrets until then, in our close circle, of course. This is Diana. She is an angel. Basically, she is very efficient magic user. The twins here are Azck and Zack. They are the some of the best magic users in the world. Their minds were linked through birth."

"I know you two. I have seen you before from my...friend's memory."

"You know us?"

"Yes, I know you. I have even seen you spar."

"What? We were very discreet. We didn't sense any humans or myths while we spar."

"Well, did you sense a tiger?"

"Oh. That makes sense now. Yeah."

"Anyway, before you rudely interrupted me, I was about to introduce you to Dragoon, who is a were-dragon. He can shapeshift into a dragon anytime he wants." He looked pretty scary. Imagine a dragon flying in and roasting fire and eating their soldiers. "This wizard here is Merlin and this fighting brute here is Arthur. Their life forces are tied together. If one die, the other die too." She could feel the danger from Merlin, maybe it was just magic messing with her mind but she knew that he is dangerous. More dangerous than anyone in here with an exception of Lois. "And I am Lois, I am an elf. I can naturally use magic and have heighten senses. And this is Mira. She is a...I don't know. And now that you know each other, I suggest we drink."

It was pretty clear that Lois wanted to drink and relax but when they are drunk, they tend to...fight with each other. She stayed away from the fighting and kept watching them. Their fighting styles were so...different. Each fighting styles from different culture and races were use. Elves were impossibly flexible and fast. They could dodged almost anything. Merlin wasn't very good at using sword but he was very good at using magic. Arthur, however, was the best swordsman she had ever seen. He could beat all of them if they were only using swords. Lois came and sat by her, exhausted, "Are you enjoying this?"

"Yeah, I guess? I am having fun memorizing Arthur's moves so I can practice later."

"Do you want to learn magic? I can teach you the basic but you can ask Merlin to teach you later."

"Are you really going to teach me? Yes."

"OK. So where should I start? Like in everything, magic has rules. You need to know your limits or else, you can die. There are various type of magic. Space magic, time magic, elemental magic, blood magic, dark magic, forbidden magic and so on. In forbidden magic, it is mostly necromancy. Anyone who have magic in their veins can use one of these types. Space magic is used in expending or contracting space between you and a certain place."

"What does that mean? Can you give an example?"

"Shh, don't disturb me. For example, you would normally walk hundreds of miles to get to another town. But using the space magic, you can contract the space between you and the town and just walk forward a little to reach there. And when you are fighting, you can expend the space between you and the attacker to save yourself or to recover your strength. As for time magic I suggest you don't use it until you absolutely need to. To save yourself or someone dear to you. Elemental magic is obvious. Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Light and darkness. You can control them to your advantage. I have no idea about blood magic because no one can use them. I mean, humans used it in the past but there is currently no one who can use blood magic that I know. Dark magic is the same as necromancy. And the most important thing of all, I have said it and I will say again, know your limits. Doing a task that cost more energy than you have can kill you."

"OK. So how do I know if it will kill me or not?"

"You don't. That's why I said know your limit."

"Aww, so doing magic is just like fighting in a battlefield."

"Exactly. You don't know if you'll die or not."

"And what magic is telepathy?"

"It is a form of elemental magic and blood magic. And I think you are the first blood magic user in centuries."

"That's a lot to take in."

"I know."

They were disturbed when Kyle yelled, "Lovebirds. Join us. I want to test the new girl."

Mira looked at Lois, "Uhh...Is it a good idea?" She had seen him fight. Turning into a wolf mid-fight and then turning back into a human.

She laughed, "Probably not. But are you going to decline the challenge?"

"Oh no. I am going to fight him and I am going to win." Then she whispered, "Even though I don't know how to fight." Lois laughed.
