That was really bad for Mira. She wouldn't be able to fight them as well as she would at night in daylight. "Wait, Lois. I need your blood."
Lois impatiently cut her hand, letting blood flow. "Come on. We don't have much time."
Mira quickly grabbed her hand and drank the blood hungrily. Lois gasped, "Sto-stop. I am getting wet. Stop."
Mira quickly apologize, but Lois didn't pay attention. She immediately healed her hand. "Come on, let's go."
Mira could feel Lois doing magic. She was shortening the length between them and the ground. It was smart. They could jump down without having their legs broken. "Come on, jump."
They jumped down. It was different. She was dizzy when her legs hit the ground. She almost fell but she was studied by Lois. "Come on. We don't have time to waste."
They ran as fast as they can, meaning that Lois and Mira arrived first since they are super fast. "Wow, you're fast."
"You too. You didn't tell me you are fast. Are you strong too?"
"Yeah."
"Hmm.. me too."
"Come on, let's go. I need to be on the front-lines."
"I am coming too."
Lois looked at her, concerned, "Are you sure? It's gonna be bloody. Are you sure you can control your... thirst?"
"I just drank yours so I'll be fine. Don't worry about me, I can take care of myself."
"I know. Now go get ready."
Mira and Lois ran in opposite directions, Mira towards her room and Lois towards the middle. Mira ran into the room, putting on the armor. The helmet was really big, covering her whole head. She wouldn't want to kill the enemies but she would do everything to protect the town and that includes killing everything that endanger the town. She went outside and ran towards the direction that Lois ran in. She didn't want to be late. She saw several hundreds soldiers, listening to Lois's speech. Her speech was simple and direct yet effective. Mira couldn't wonder how they lost in their last battles with Arthur, Merlin and Lois fighting. Unless they have mages in their armies too. That would be dangerous, extremely if they can use all types of magic like Merlin. She needed to be on her guard.
"Everyone, I've call you here as you may have heard. The enemy have arrived early by 2 weeks. That doesn't mean we are not prepare, are we? We have trained and fought them and know them better than anyone. We will win. Let's match. Who's with me?!"
They all yelled with enthusiasm. "Yeah!!"
Lois saw Mira and walked up to her, "Was I good?"
"I guess? Sorry, I've never heard a speech before so I don't know if it's good or not."
"I don't need you to compare. Just tell me if it's good, with your own opinion."
"Well, it's good. After all, the speech was spoken by your voice which made it even better."
She blushed, "Don't try to flatter me, it won't work." It was obviously working.
"I know. I just wanted to lighten the mood. Come on. Let's do something about those idiots that are attacking us."
"Don't underestimate them. Do you know why they lost?"
"Because you underestimated them?"
"No, because they underestimated them. We weren't fighting for anyone yet. Rumors suggested that there are people like us in their ranks and that's why our current army lost. We had to balance the scales by participating ourselves."
"I thank the enemy because I met you because of them."
"Well, the people who died would disagree with you."
"They may but I don't disagree with me so there's no problem." Lois laughed, "Well, let's match forward."
They matched. Soon, they reached a clearing where they started to see the other army. "HOLD!"
They all stopped, immediately. "We will not start the first attack. We will only attack when they start attacking. Is that clear?"
"Yes!"
They waited, but the attack didn't come. They set up camp and some of the soldiers started to sleep. Honestly, they are dumb as they went to sleep with the enemy so close to them. However, Mira and Lois were not sleeping as Lois told her that an ambush would be likely to happen. "You know, I think they will ambush us at night. Their supernatural creatures can sense us as I can sense them."
"How can you sense them? I can't."
"It's a matter of practice. You knew that I am not human when you first saw me, right? You will be able to sense them in long distances later. For now, let's talk about something else. I don't want to deal with heavy matters before a battle."
"Uhh, sure. What do you want to talk about?"
At that moment, they both heard faint footsteps coming towards them, from the forest.
