"Sophia, that Elf girl is hopeless. Emma is going to need to do a contraception incantation on her. She said she would be late hunting tonight. She took Martha's request on hunt Goldhorn. What bad luck in getting her to join."(Hana)

"Don't be too hard on her. I checked her guild card. She doesn't have a family name. I thought maybe she got kicked out, or she left and requested to Goddess to remove it. Those are the only two options I could consider.

She took Martha's request because she left home with only her hunting gear. When I asked her why she didn't have any other clothing, she said she ran away from home. She couldn't take her clothes with her because it would bring to light that she is running away. This got me curious on why does she need to run away from home.

I asked why someone would run away from home? Because I'm an orphan, I couldn't understand why anyone would be compelled to run away. She gave me three different storylines on how a girl would choose to run away.

First was a princess escaping an arranged marriage. She made it sound like the man was old and ugly—it is known that Elves stop aging at puberty. He couldn't be ugly; more likely ugly personality.

The second storyline was God's mission. That is so not it; It's possible like one in a trillion.

The third storyline is love to a noble. The noble girl gets killed by her family for having a same-s*x relationship. The commoner left so she will not cry the loss. I can't see a family killing their daughter for that reason; I can see them killing the commoner lover.

I then concluded that it was the first storyline. I had to watch Kat and see if she acts like a noble. She read the book and drank tea like she has been doing it for a long time. I bet she was served and sheltered all her life."(Sophia)

"That would make sense on not have contraceptive incantation or knowing anything about it. The poor girl was most likely treated as an object. I despise people who treat people like that. I'll help her as much as I can."(Hana)

While Sophia finished dinner, Hana explained to the other girls what she and Sophia found out. Martha commented on how new Kay's bow was. Kat might stay and train for a while. Few girls never met Kat; They only heard the gossip.

As the dinner was ready, Sophia used mana vision to see where is everyone's location. She noticed someone coming from the forest towards the library. She suspected it would be Kat.

Sophia got everyone's attention and walked towards the library. Then she opened the patio door and walked out.

"What are you doing out here?"(Sophia)

"Hi, Sophia. I was looking at the beautiful stars and thinking about life in general. I'm so confused lately. I'll figure out what I'm going to be doing.

I killed a bird in the forest; I was going to have it for lunch tomorrow. The book said it was good to eat. How the hell I'm going to cook it? I have never cooked. {in this world} I don't even know how to start to cook. What am I even thinking?

I thought things would go smoothly. I killed one Goldhorn. When I finally could saw it, I felt sad because it was a gorgeous creature. A hunter shouldn't be so soft-hearted. God, I could use one of your sandwiches now."(Kat)

"I can teach you how to cook. Talking about food, I just finished dinner. Why not come and join us?"(Sophia)

"That sounds wonderful. That would be one less thing to worry about."(Kat)

Kat joined them for dinner after she changed into a comfortable outfit that she got from Marth. It was a pinkish-red top and loose slacks. She combed her hair in a ponytail. She was happy that Martha brought over some hair ties. Martha helped her put her hair up.

She got to meet the rest of the girls. Diana worked in the merchant guild. She was almost as tall as Kat with black hair and dark green eyes. Lilia worked in the herbalist shop; She has blueish-violet hair with dark blue eyes. Anna worked as a receptionist for the guards; she is blonde with a light blue eye. She was told that there are a few other girls that are on the road working as adventurers.

The food was delicious; Kat complemented Sophia for a great job. They used a herb-infused vinegar for salad dressing. The meat was horn rabbit. Kat had a rabbit before, but this was a completely different taste. Kat never had anything compared to it.

They brought out some wine. Kat had a glass while hearing the girls talk about how their day went.

Kat started to remember how, after work, he would go to a bar to drink to unwind. It was a karaoke bar.

Being a little drunk, she walked towards the window. Outside was dark, and the light on the glass shown her reflection—a beautiful Elf woman with blonde hair and crystal blue eyes. She then started singing the only song that popped up in her mind. It was killing me softly with his song. This didn't help her mood. She was about to breakdown crying as everyone else stopped talking and lessened to her sing.
