The Hunting

The deepest part of the forest was so dark. It became so creepy. Kat was able to see because of her dark vision. She pulled out the vile of Goldhorn piss and took a sniff. Then she put it away. Cautiously moving, trying to track the Goldhorn. Kat spots other beasts. The goblins are harmless unless you are smaller than them. They are about the size of a five-year-old. Goblin meat is worthless; They live a maximum of ten years. Not long enough to form a mana crystal large enough for anything to be made from it. Kat ignored the goblins and killed a few rabbits. She learned that rabbits scream eerie when it feels life-threatening. They do it unconsciously to alarm other rabbits to getaway. It was one of the exciting pieces of information from the book. She remembered when she was hunting for them earlier. It explained a lot. Kat was already in the dark for about an hour before finally got a hint on the Goldhorn smell. She looked on the ground and saw it's footprints. Somehow it joined other prints of different species. She started following the footprints. She slowly moved and stopped spasmodically. Kat had her sense going over time. She had to climb a tree to meditate occasionally. The stress of not quickly finding it was starting to get to her. Kat was starting to get irritated and impatient. After her fifth break, she found a large boar. At the end of her sight wasn't a Goldhorn but a bigger boar than she killed before. She climbed a tree and then took a shot. The boar just froze standing. Kat was expecting the boar to slam into the tree, like last time; Nothing happened. Then it fell over dead. Kat was surprised. With her eyes opened wide and mouth dropped down, she was looking at the boar. Her fear was worthless. She was worried that it would knock down the tree she is in before it fell over and died. "That was weird. Martha said the arrow had paralyzed ability. It worked even though it was that big?!"(Kat) Kat was even more amazed that not even a drop of blood came out onto the ground when she pulled out the arrow {magic is so wonderful}? The arrows are lightweight metal. She felt appreciation for the one who created the arrows. This kill pumped her up to hunt more. She moved with a purpose. She kept looking for tracks and sniffing the air. God knows how long it took her to find the scent finally again. Kat looked in the direction the scent is coming from and can't see anything. The slight piss smell was in the air. She concentrated on getting the location. After a few minutes, she pinpointed a possible location. She pulled the bow and let the arrow fly. She prayed that it was there. She wants to find at least three. At first, it looked like the arrow stopped in the air, but actually, it hit the Goldhorn. Kat walked up closer and noticed the footprints. Then she reshot it closer to the front. It finally died, then the camouflage vanished, and she could see the bull. It was beautiful. It was all white with short fur; It has fluorescent blue eyes and golden antlers. She pulled out the arrows and put the beast away in inventory. Kat breathes out a sigh. She never would think that hunting was such a pain. Kat had enough for today. She decided to head to the house; pulled up the map to figure out a route. She then set the direction and started strolling, looking at the forest from a different point of view. Even though it was dark and creepy, the forest was beautiful. There were different types of trees. She remembered the book so unreliable. She couldn't even tell what kind of trees they were. On her walk, she spotted a colorful bird. It was multiple colors with a chicken body mixed with a peacock; It has a massive wingspan. She forgot about them. {It might taste like chicken. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.} Kat decided to hunt it. It was a quick kill. She put it in her inventory. {Hopefully, tomorrow I'll have it for lunch. Thinking about cooking, I don't know how to cook in this world. I doubt that this world has an electric oven. I'm going to need instruction on how. Hana is going to look at me with petty again, like the one given to an abandoned puppy. God, I have lots to work on to become independent. It feels like a punishment and a dream come true.} Kat looked at the map again. {What the f**k! How did I get over here?} She was on the other side of the other farms close to the town. She didn't even see the town wall because of the trees in front of her. Kat moved towards the road. Outside of the forest started to turn dark; the sunset was breathtaking. Kat stopped to take it all in. She paused for about half-hour to watch it. The stars are out. The two moons are coming into view. She decided to head home before stopping and looking at the stars and moons. As she was walking, Kat started to wonder how foolish she was. It's not going to be so easy. Kat thought it would be easy like those light novels. You need to do some physical training, and you got a successful life. No wonder this is reality, and those are just wishful thinking. {Why did I fall into this trap? I should have known nothing good can come easy. I wasted eight years of my life for a dream. Then wasn't what I wanted but going to an office pushing buttons and paperwork for the past year. My life was s**t. I better work hard to not fall into s**t again.} Kat finally reached the house. On the back patio, there is a bench. She sat, looking at the stars. The sky was so clean, and the stars looked big and bright.
