The Past Repeats

~Calypso~ North Brother Island. Off limits to the public. Protected by the human Government, and home to Alacard. He claimed it for himself in the 50's, but not with out the loss of many lives. When the human Government finally backed down, and allowed him to keep the sanctuary for himself, they came to an agreement. That his coven wouldn't harm citizens, but could feed on the flesh of the homeless. An agreement that they believed would fix both of their problems. All the while the Royal Guard never intervened. A mystery still to us all. So we decided we would meet them before they came to us. Set a trap, lure Alacard and his men into it, and then be done with them. The plan has to go exactly, or we will all die. Loralie is right, there is no way we can beat them one on one. They won't be expecting Anora to have anyone protecting her, so we already have one up on them. The day James came to New York. Alacard's coven found him. No Vampire enters their territory with out notice. It is protocol for them to find all vampires that come into their territory, question their intentions, and if they plan to stay. All are welcome to visit, but if you intend to stay you have no choice. You must join Alacard's coven. And James did. James knows they hunt every Friday. The livest night of the week only makes it easier for them to find their prey. Today is Thursday so we only have hours to prepare. We woke Anora to discuss our plans. She wasn't ready to hear any of it. She is scared even though she tries her best to hide it from us. "I promise Anora, I'll die before I let them hurt you" I say trying to relieve her of her fear. "That's what I'm afraid of" she says. When my ears perk up, and I sniff the air. I feel my beast take control, and I kick Anora in the chest. Her body flies to the corner of the room. Just seconds before a dark figure almost grabbed her. I grab it by the back of the neck and slam him to the ground. When I'm tackled by another dark figure. James runs to me only to be caught in a head lock by a beast behind him. I kick the Vampire on top of me with both legs. His body flies and hits the ceiling causing dust to rain over me. I roll over and dart to the vampire that has now cornered Anora. He turns and kicks me in my stomach. My body back flips back and I land on my knees. When I feel an arm wrapping around my neck in a choke hold. I hear foot steps coming up the stairs. The girls must have heard the commotion and are coming for us. These men will regret entering a siren's nest. The first face I see come up the stairs is Loralie. I flip the vampire that has his hold on my neck over me. He hit the ground lying in front of me, and I lay a blow to his face. Cracking his skull, and knocking him out. When a man enters behind Loralie. He puts his hands up, and the other two vampires release James and Anora. And I realize what Loralie has done. She has notified Alacard of Anora's presence. "You can't have her!" I roar, and approach Alacard with dominance. He was not hindered. "Extraordinary" his voice was like a whisper. His face, like a victorian painting. "A lycan. Defending a human." His long white finger pointing from me to Anora. His three lackeys join his side ready to defend him if I try to attack. And Loralie avoiding eye contact with me standing just behind them. James goes on to stand in front of Anora to not allow any of them to look at her. "How is it that you came upon these gifts? Where you born a lycan? Or did you change? " Alacard asks his last question slowly. Eyes jotting up and down taking in my beast form. "I won't let you do this." I say firmly to him when he lets out a giggle and looks back to the brothers as they smile in amusement. "Leave us." Alacard demands, when he looks back to me. His eyes were black like a shark on a hunt. I brace myself to attack when Loralie yells "Don't Calypso! Listen to him! When Anora turns, Alacard will do it himself, she will be fine to step out of the room with us for a moment." The brothers already had their arms around all three of them pushing them out of the room. I throw a punch and Alacard doges it. I spin kicking my leg high and bringing my heel down hard in an axe kick. He grabs my foot and throws me back into a flip. Before my feet hit the floor his hands were around my throat lifting me in the air. He slowly sets me down on my toes and releases his grip. When calmly he says " Now Calypso, is it? I did not come to fight. I also did not come expecting to see a lycan, and I'm not very often surprised." He puts his hands together like a prayer and says "I see you care for this human very much" he speaks so eloquently, his body like a marble stone statue, and he moves like smoke over water. "And for a friend I would spare this humans life, but we would have to become friends for me to do that." Alacard lips twitch into a partial smile. "I'm sure we can find some common grounds. A way for you to help me so I can help you." Alacard says, nodding to me in respects. "What is it that you want?" I ask, completely untrusting of this snake. "Shall we get to know each other?" Alacard sways his hand motioning to the couch for us to sit. I let my body retreat back to my human form and take a seat. Alacard sits beside me, very close, facing me, smelling my scent. "Quite beautiful" he says, his jaw twitched obviously hungry for my blood. "Tell me, were you once a wolf?" he asks. "No, I've always been a lycan" I say, my tone still angry. "Interesting you must be of the royal family, I suspect? " he asks. I know that he knows exactly who I am. Word of my existence has spread. I didn't answer. "And your sister, I hear she is alive? " Again, I didn't answer. She still hasn't revealed herself to the world. As far as they know she's dead. "Ah, I see" He grins. His eyes so still they are like glassy marbles. "Can I share something with you? As we are friends, aren't we?" Alacard asks, and then grabs my hand, and brings it close to his chest. "I have watched this world mend like clay. The past, always repeating itself. When I was young it all seemed so exciting. Only to become dull and lonely." He says and then looks away. " I see the past unraveling before you and I right now, Calypso. And you are at the head of it. You may not see it now, but I do." He stands to his feet and grabs his coat, buttoning it closed, signifying he is leaving. "There will be a day that we can benefit each other. And when that day comes, you will have my help." He states as if it's fact. Alacard turns to walk away when I say "What about Anora?" He softly giggles. " I once had a friend I was so passionate about. Similar to you and your human. Someone I would do anything to save." He then looks back at me dead in the eyes. "I will grant you your wish. She will not be touched." And he leaves so fast, he becomes a shadow.
