Chapter 3

I'm in the middle of what seemed to be a courtyard. I imagined it would be beautiful if someone tended to it. Just the structure is breathtaking. But it is completely abandoned. I wonder what happened here? A breeze suddenly passed by, coaxing me to follow it. I was curious because this is the first time that this is happening to me. I followed it and it lead to an abandoned yet beautiful mansion. Just like the courtyard, it was breathtaking. It is a sort of plantation style kind of house. I could imagine someone rich living here. I went inside and was stunned. Though the outside of house is dilapidated, the inside was in pristine condition. It was dark, for there were no lights but the house still glowed. The breeze kept on coaxing me to follow it. I obliged until it stopped in a huge room, probably a ballroom. It was still dark but when I started to get used to the dark, there was a sudden flash of light in the middle of the room. I blinked several times to get the dark spots out of my eyes. I slowly walked to the figure in the middle room until I was face to face with a beautiful maiden. Skin as white as snow, pink delicate lips, high cheekbones, a nose that every girl would fight to get and long golden hair. The only thing I could not see is her eyes, they were closed. She gives off the feeling that she was sleeping while standing. She also has been chained to something I can't see with manacles on her wrists and ankles. I suddenly heard a voice in my head. "Have you found me at last?" I was sure that it came from the sleeping maiden, but before I could answer her, I was pulled from my dream. "Sera. Sera, wake up. We're here. Alpha Daniel is waiting."- Aunt Crystal I sat up straight and scratched the sleep from my eyes. A yawn also escaped my mouth. I need to keep my thoughts straight. 'We need to assess that dream of yours later, Sera. We need to be prepared for anything. We're meeting the Alpha of the the Blue Crescent Pack, for goddess' sake.' 'Roger that.' As Solana said, I straightened myself and went out of the car. I had my guard and barriers up in case they do some thing funny. I'll act meek and obedient for now, I might just killed instantly and I don't want that to happen. "Alpha Daniel, sorry if we we're a bit late." Uncle Jasper said that. He then went to hug the Alpha. Huh, they're close. I need to catalogue that in my brain. "No problem, Jasper. Crystal. And you must be Alana and Dante's daughter. Seraphian, right?" "Yes, Alpha."  I just looked straight at him. He seemed to be amused with my reaction. It's not everyday that someone would look straight at the eyes of the Alpha and lived to see another day. When everybody felt the tension rising, someone rushed in to diffuse it. "Well, welcome back to the pack, Seraphina. I'm Alicia. Daniel's mate." "Nice meeting you, Luna." I smiled at her genuinely because she looks so pure and calm. I like her. Alpha Daniel, not so much. He looks cruel to me. 'Sera, you're judging people again with their looks. Judge them with their auras, not their looks.' 'Ooops, force of habit. Sorry, Solana. I'll apologize.' "I'm sorry Alpha, for staring at you like that earlier. I was just taught to never back down, whoever is in front of me." "Dante taught you, didn't he?" I just nodded at that, and he just smiled. His aura changed the moment he smiled. He was concerned with the well being of his pack earlier. He's good, I guess. "We have son your age but he has a meeting with the other local pack regarding rogues that has been seen around our territory. For now, the pack already prepared a room for you to stay in." "Come with us, Seraphina." -Luna Alicia "Please, just call me Sera. Everybody does." "Noted, Sera." They showed me to my room in the pack house. One word to describe the pack house, massive. It can easily house a thousand wolves, not only that, there are also several buildings within the territory as far as my eyes can see. I wonder what they're for? My room is on the right wing of the third floor. The last room to the right. It was big, to say the least. There was even a bathtub in the bathroom that can fit several people. Woah, just woah. "Dinner is at 7. Come down to the dining hall later, okay?"- Alpha Daniel "Thank you, Alpha, Luna." They left me to unpack my things. I first made a small altar on one side of my room and placed my parents ashes and prayed to the Moon Goddess. Then I started unpacking everything. When everything was put away in their rightful places, I checked the clock. Good timing, it's almost seven. I took a quick shower, changed and went down to wherever the dining hall is. I just followed my instincts and went to where the smell of food is. I suddenly felt several hundreds of eyes on me when I entered the room. I stopped short of falling on my face. I wasn't expecting this. When I was sure that I was having a panic attack, someone touched my arm. Naturally, I jump out of fright. "Woah, there girl. Calm down. Alpha said to come get you. You look like you'll faint any minute now. Come, my name's Mirajane. It's alright, I won't hurt you." She smiled at me, reassuring me that it's alright. So, I followed her. The stares followed me until I reached the Alpha and Luna. "And here I thought you were brave. You certainly were when we first met."- Alpha Daniel "Stop teasing the girl, Danny. She's already spooked. Come sit with us. Don't mind them." "I think you forgot to introduce her to the pack, Luna. That's why they look at her like that."- Mirajane said in a manner that is not so rude. "Oh, you're right Mira. Everybody, please stop staring at her like she just gtown two heads. This a new member of the pack, Seraphina. Let's eat dinner!" Well, she is a ball of enthusiasm. And it is quiet infectious, her enthusiasm. I sat down and just stared for a few minutes trying to get my bearings. I'm starting to look like a fool. "Doll, you shouldn't worry about the stares. They're just curious if you're mate less or not. Especially the guys. You are a fine looker, you are. I'm Annie. And this is Bella." She pointed to a black-haired beauty. "It's short for Belladonna. Nice meeting you Seraphina." I just stared at them. 'Oh stop staring and start eating already. I'm hungry Sera.' "Ow, you don't have kick me Solana." Now, it's the girls turn to stare at me. I ignored their stares and started to stack food on my plate. Not good to starve Solana. "Who kicked you? Your wolf?" It was Bella who broke the ice and asked me that question. "Yes, her name's Solana and she doesn't like being starved. Especially since we only ate two granola bars the whole day. She's throwing a tantrum in my head." "This is the first I heard such a thing."- Mira I just shrugged and started eating. Damn, I gotta ask who the cook is. I want a copy of her recipe. I ate to my heart's content until I could eat no more. Me and Solana were satidfied. She immediately went to sleep. I'm free of her at last. I excused myself from everybody went to my room and started to prepare for bed. I'll just think about the dream tomorrow. I laid on my new bed and immediately feel asleep with no dreams to haunt me.
