Chapter Three Summer couldn’t jump over the edge, but she also couldn’t find her way back on her own either. There was no path to lead her to the walking track and most of the trees had looked exactly the same as each other. She had to think of a way to convince him not to jump. “He’ll drown.” “What?” “When you dive into the water.” She gestured towards the cat. “He’ll drown. How can he hold his breath?” Grayson stared at the cat. “I can’t break the curse. Only one of the Fae can. Oliver will have to hold his breath.” The cat miaowed pitifully. “I don’t think he can.” She avoided calling the cat by her brother’s name. It couldn’t be Oliver. Things like curses and the Fae didn’t exist. Grayson looked from the water, to the cat and then to Summer before his gaze returned to the water.
