KENNETH'S POV
"Dude, you should come with us," I told Martin while driving back to school. We ate lunch at a burger shop because we'd been craving it. "I can't," he responded from the backseat. "Dude, when was the last time you went out at night? It was when Jessica threw a party at her house!" Jeremy complained, and I chuckled. Martin doesn't really go out at night, unlike Jeremy and me. "I promised my mom that I will eat dinner with them," he explained, and Jeremy facepalmed. "You always eat dinner with them. Why are you such a good son?" I complained, and Martin chuckled. "Martin, my friend, you got to live life a little, you know? Go out with us, and you can find some girls. You might even find someone you'll like," Jeremy turned to Martin and convinced him. Martin sighed, and they only looked at each other. "Fine," Martin finally gave in, and we exclaimed excitedly.
"But you need to drive faster because it's almost time," Martin informed me, and I looked at my watch. Sh*t. I stepped on the pedal and tried to drive faster, but not fast enough to get caught. Thankfully, we arrived on time. Oh, I want to share something. Remember Sabrina? After our second date, she hadn't talked or texted me. I know, it's still a Monday, but come on, I feel like I did something that annoyed her.
== NIGHT ==
"How do I look?" I asked as I stepped into the kitchen where my mom and sister were. "You look disgusting," Kate answered as she ate her mac n' cheese. This kid. "That was disrespectful," I told her in disbelief, and she stuck out her tongue at me. What is wrong with this kid? After all those years of playing with her, this is how she'll treat me? I'm deeply hurt. "You look handsome, dear," mom complimented, and I smiled. "Thanks, mom," I said. "Now, you go have fun with your friends, but not too much fun, okay?" mom reminded me, and I chuckled. "Yes, mom. I don't plan on giving you grandchildren at this age," I joked, and she laughed. Kate looked at me in disgust, and I stuck out my tongue at her.
I went outside our house and into my car. I drove into the night while thinking of how to have fun tonight. Tonight should be our night. Boy's night!
== CLUB ==
"Look who's here!" I exclaimed, and the guys greeted me with our usual handshake. "Am I late?" I asked as I took a seat beside Jeremy. "Nah, we're not starting without you," Jeremy answered and handed me a glass of gin. "Oh, I see you with a gin, Martin," I teased him while wiggling my eyebrows. He laughed and raised his glass. "Toast to us?" he asked, and we did the same thing. We clinked our glasses and started having fun. We laughed and danced like crazy guys until we got tired. After a few minutes, three girls walked towards us. "Did you call them?" Martin asked Jeremy, who shook his head. He's a bit drunk now, while Martin and I are still sober.
"Can we sit with you guys? We think you're all handsome, and maybe you would like some girls to sit with you?" the tallest girl asked. They are all beautiful, but I'm not in the mood to flirt with them or anything. "Beautiful girls sit with handsome boys. Of course, you can!" Jeremy answered, and I looked at him in disbelief. Tonight is supposed to be OUR night, which means no girls are allowed. The three girls in front of us giggled and sat with us. The tallest girl sat beside me, but she sat VERY closely. I don't feel good about this. The girl with short blonde hair sat beside Martin while the red-haired girl sat beside Jeremy. The girl with short hair kept touching Martin but stopped when he made it clear that he was not enjoying it. She huffed and drank some gin.
"Do you have a girlfriend?" the girl beside me asked, and I looked at her with raised eyebrows. "Yes, I have," I lied, hoping that she won't do anything. "Then, I guess you don't have to tell her," she responded, and I looked at her, shocked. "What?" I asked. "I didn't see anyone with you before, so I guess she's not here. She doesn't have to know, right?" she seductively said and rubbed my arm. Please help me. I did not include this in my plans for tonight. If Rachel was here, I will hide behind her and make her scare this girl away. Speaking of Rachel, I think I saw her leave when I was changing my clothes. "I don't do that. I'm loyal to her," although I don't really have a girlfriend. She ignored me and kept touching me. When she was about to touch something prohibited, I stood up. "I'm going to the restroom," I said and gave her a fake smile.
I decided to use the restroom upstairs because not many people use that, and that is exclusively for VIP members only. I entered the comfort room and peed. After peeing, I looked in the mirror and washed my face. I was scared of that girl earlier, and she looks older! She must be in college now. I dried my hands and face and went outside. As I was near the hallway, I saw two people talking. I was about to ignore them, but I realized that the girl was Rachel. How? Because of her black high heels. Those are her favorites. I was intrigued because the guy she was talking to is Caleb, one of our "rivals." He's not that popular, anyway. I sneakily listened to their conversation.
"I'm here with Jessica and Claire. Jessica suggested that we have a girl's night, so yeah. We are having fun," she answered Caleb, and he nodded. Since when were they close? And why is she talking to him? She doesn't speak to guys besides us. "Well, you seem drunk. Will you be okay?" Caleb asked worriedly, and I scoffed. I don't think she should trust Caleb. I heard dirty things about him, and he is the worst. Rachel giggled and assured him. Why did she do that? That was really disgusting. When they separated, I saw Caleb smirking, and my blood boiled. What was that face? If he plans on doing the same dirty thing to Rachel, I swear I will kill him. When I saw him enter a room, I left my position and was about to call Rachel when suddenly, I heard the loudest shout in my whole existence.
"WHAT THE F*CK, JEREMY?!"
Wait, was that Jessica? I was so shocked that I didn't notice Rachel walking past. "Rachel!" I called, and she turned to me. "Kenneth? When did Jessica go down?" she asked. "I don't know. I just came out of the restroom," and eavesdropped. "Y-you did?" she stuttered, and we looked at each other. I can see her internally panicking. I bet she thinks she won't hear the end of it once I find out. Sorry, but I already eavesdropped. "Yeah," I answered, and she laughed awkwardly. "Let's go down," she said, and we rushed downstairs.
RACHEL'S POV
I hope he didn't see me talking to Caleb, or it would be a nightmare. It would be a nightmare, but I am ready to kill him. We rushed downstairs to see Jeremy, who looked scared for his life. What is going on? "I was trying to push her away!" Jeremy defended himself, and I saw a red-haired girl on the floor. Oh no, don't tell me she hit that girl? I looked at Martin, and he was just as confused as us. "But you still kissed!" she yelled angrily, and I could already tell that she would not calm down. "It was against my will!" Jeremy yelled back, still trying to explain himself. "You b*tch! Didn't your parents tell you not to kiss someone's lover?!" Jessica yelled at the red-haired girl, and I furrowed my eyebrows. "Lover?" I heard someone say from behind, and I turned to see Claire. What does she mean by a lover?
"Jessica, please calm down," Martin said, and we decided to walk to their table. "I will not calm down until she apologizes!" Jessica yelled, and the red-haired rolled her eyes when her friends helped her stand up. "You're a psycho," the red-haired said, and Jessica huffed very angrily. She was about to attack the girl again, but thankfully, Claire held her. "I will shave all your hair, you sl*t!" she screamed while the three girls walked away. The tallest girl looked back and winked at Kenneth, who immediately hid behind me. I scrunched my face in disgust and turned to him. "I hate that girl," he said. "That was disgusting," I said, and he agreed.
Going back to Jessica, Claire tries to calm her down while she kills Jeremy with her eyes. "I didn't expect her to kiss me," Jeremy explained for the nth time. "You promised me," Jessica said. "I'm still keeping that promise!" he responded and stood up. "But you broke it. Whether that kiss was against your will or not, it still happened," Jessica sternly said. I know this is serious, and we are confused, but can someone give me popcorn? "Jessica, please don't do this," Jeremy pleaded and walked to Jessica, but she stopped him with her hand. "Do what? Break up with you? Oh, baby, I'm doing it now. WE'RE DONE," Jessica emphasized the last two words and left. Claire followed her, and we stayed with Jeremy, who looks very stressed now.
"Since when were you dating?" Martin asked after a few seconds of silence. The people at the club continued doing what they were doing as if nothing was happening earlier. "Before practicing for the musical play," Jeremy answered and put his face on his hands. That explains their disappearance every time we take a break. "I shouldn't have let them sit with us. Why was I even drunk earlier?" he said, and his voice cracked a bit. I feel sorry for him. "I didn't expect to find out about your relationship this way, but I don't know how to comfort you. Maybe a hug will do?" I looked at him sympathetically, and he nodded. I smiled and went to hug him. I honestly don't know what I should say to comfort him because I have never been in a relationship before.
"Why did you keep it a secret from us?" Kenneth asked with his arms crossed. "Because we were planning on telling you guys if we could make this work," he answered and smiled sadly. I patted his back to comfort him. "You know what? Instead of getting emotional, you should fight for her if you really want to make it work," Martin suddenly said after being quiet for a while. We were amazed at what he said, and Kenneth and I gave him a thumbs up. "I- Just give me time to cry, okay? I never said that I would stop going after her. I really like her," he explained, and we all hugged him. I always knew they would eventually end up together because they get along pretty well. It was sad that we had to see them in that situation, but I hope they could still make it work.
