Chapter 23

1398 Words

JESSICA'S POV "Rachel, please," I heard Kenneth as he followed Rachel into the room. Poor Kenneth has been trying to talk to her since this morning, but she keeps ignoring him. Rachel ignored him as usual and sat beside me. Initially, Martin was my seatmate, but because of Rachel and Kenneth's "lovers' quarrel," Rachel asked Martin to exchange seats with her. Kenneth just stood by Rachel's chair, and I gestured for him to go away. He heaved a deep sigh and sat on his chair. "Still don't want to talk to him?" I softly asked Rachel, who was looking tired. "I don't wanna talk about it," she answered, and I nodded in understanding. "If you're ready to tell me something or some things, just call, okay? I'll immediately go to wherever you are," I said, hoping that it would somehow comfort her.
