Madness

1922 Words

Raven's POV Realizing I was useless and exposed on my knees in the open, I somehow took off running towards the dust covering the spot where he landed. I can't see him, but I know he's in there. He must be. My only hope is that he's not hurt, or at least not mortal. A broken pinky is nowhere close to a hole in your abdomen. There is this intense need for him. I can't bear the thought of him injured or worse, dead. He made me a promise. To burn them to the ground and turn them into ashes. My feet carry me over burning rubble. There is a searing pain in my chest and side. My breathing is jagged, and I'm sure I have a nasty burn on my right shoulder. But none of it matters. I need to reach him. In the corner of my eye, I see them. The hags focus on the last dragon still soaring above us.
