Selene had barely run three steps after jumping out of the window when she immediately knew she had made the wrong decision. No sooner did she feel the presence of the bloke before she was tackled to the ground. It was so fast all she could do was gasp at the impact.
He had jumped on her from the roof that was why she had not been able to sense his presence. He landed directly on her back pushing her head to the ground. Her head landed on a stone on the untarred ground with a loud bash. Selene blacked out immediately.
Selene woke up to severe pain in her right eye. She tried to touch it to figure out what was wrong with her eye but her hands wouldn't budge. She pulled again but it was already pretty obvious to her that something was stopping her hands from moving.
