She sensed him before she saw or even heard him. He pushed open the door and Selene was immediately on high alert. Her ears shook a little as they tried to listen for the slightest sound. She kept her eyes closed, trying to appear as though she was asleep.
Obviously, it would only worsen her situation but the last thing he wanted was a one-sided conversation with creepy Jason. He lifted her and placed her something that felt like a table. He dropped her so hard she bounced.
