They both gasped out and landed on the bed together, Vance immediately rolled to his back and pulled her on top of him. They were gasping for breath, that almost never happens. "I usually don't do this…" Selene started to say after about a couple of seconds. "But that was awesome," she finished in a rush, mentally cringing that she had actually said that out loud.
"Yeah, we should totally do that again." He replied with a smirk.
She rolled her eyes, so much for a passive admittance. "Yeah, I guess but I gotta run."
"What? Why?" Vance asked, turning her face with his so she would look at him.
"Yes, any chance what the time is?" She asked, moving his hand away but didn't rise from his body. Her purse and phone were in the living room, not that it mattered though, anyone that would have tried to reach would have been in for a shock.
"Um past eleven but do you have…" He started to say but didn't finish.
"What? Are you sure?" She asked, immediately sitting upright.
"Um, yeah." He replied and threw his hands to the sides. He moved the hair out of her eyes and hung it behind her ears.
"How in the blazes did I sleep that long? Why didn't you wake me up?" She yelled and jumped out of bed, heading for the exit.
"Well, you were sleeping so peacefully I couldn't have dared to interrupt it." He replied, following after her. "Are you leaving?"
"Obviously," she muttered, feeling annoyed for some reason. Her father must be worried sick, he had not heard from her for basically twenty-four hours now.
Well, it wasn't that she didn't think of that before now but she assumed she would be out of here by daylight, I'm fact she had absolutely no intention of staying the night but a couple of things happened and she couldn't bring herself to leave.
However, she didn't think she would wake up so late. She couldn't remember the time she had slept for eight hours, the most she did was six and that was on a very good day but eight. What sorcery was this?
"Why is something wrong? I thought you said you didn't have any plans for the morning." His worry seeped into his voice.
"Yeah but this is basically afternoon." She rushed into the kitchen. Her clothes, she needed to get dressed and out of here. The first thing she noticed was the kitchen had been cleaned up. Did he do this why she was asleep? But she didn't have time to dwell on that thought as she immediately checked for her clothes.
"Where are my clothes?" She asked feeling a little exasperated.
She could easily call her father and sort this out right now but she didn't want to do that in front of him, the last thing she needed him to know was she was the Primus daughter, if it didn't scare him away, he would definitely start to treat her differently.
"Well, you could have asked that." He said and started to walk out back the way they came.
"Really? Why else would I be in the kitchen?" She threw back at him not appreciating his amused tone and the fact that he was enjoying himself at her inconvenience.
"I thought you wanted something to eat, that you were hungry." He had his back to her as he made his way to his bedroom but she could hear the smugness in his tone.
"Don't mess with me Vance," she couldn't get why she wasn't angrier than this, considering he was deliberately wasting her time.
He stopped abruptly and turned around. She almost ran into him but managed to catch herself in time. "I love when you say my name."
His statement was so unexpected that she didn't have a response for it but he turned around and continued walking leaving her with a stun expression. He got back to the bedroom and walked into his closet.
He was out in mere seconds with her clothes on three different hangers. He handed it to her. "Did you wash them?" She heard herself ask as she accepted them.
Her top occupied a hanger, her pants another, and her panties and bra made up the last. She brought them close enough and could smell the freshness. Yep, he definitely washed them.
"Maybe but you might want to get dressed considering you're that in a hurry to leave." He replied, she thought he sounded a bit sulkily.
"Why?" She asked, a little confused.
"They were a mess littered on the floor and don't get me started about the pie stains…"
"That doesn't really say why." She interrupted.
"Well, I thought you would spend more than a night with me."
"Um, don't forget morning."
"You get my point and you know pie-stained clothes are not the way to go." He replied and looked away.
"Aww, aren't you adorable?" She said and began to dress up.
He cringer, "Ugh! Never call me that, ever again." He said in mock anger.
Selene laughed, "I hear you big guy."
"That's even worse!" He lamented.
"I don't think so," she said as she wore her top having saved that for last. Done with that, she started to leave the room.
"Well, I disagree with you." He replied as he followed after her.
"Suit yourself." She was literally speed walking barefooted. She made it to the living room and her purse was on the couch exactly where she had left it and beside the couch was her shoes.
She sat on the couch as she wore her shoes. They were simple boots so she didn't have any problems. Vance just stood about two feet away watching her, clad of course in absolutely nothing.
She picked her purse as she stood up. "Thank you for the hospitality and um everything else."
Vance smirked beside himself. "You're very welcome."
She grimaced, "Back at you." Knowing fully well what he was referring to. "Yeah, so I um gotta go." She began walking to the door.
"Wait that's it?" He asked evidently puzzled.
Selene turned back, a bit lost as to what she must have missed. "Um, I guess. Did I miss something?"
"Did you miss something? Are you serious?" He asked, his face showed disapproval.
