Mrs. Ilena burst into the kitchen, her expression stern. Despite the sweltering afternoon heat, the air-conditioned room felt refreshingly cool. "Miss Dea, the other maids informed me that you prepared the meal earlier this morning, before Mr. Matreo left for work."
Dea nodded, her eyes wide with curiosity. "Yes, Mrs. Ilena."
"What ingredients did you use?" Mrs. Ilena's voice was firm, her eyes narrowing slightly.
Dea's brow furrowed, unsure why she was being questioned. "Uh, the usual ones...for grilled bread with avocado and tomatoes."
Mrs. Ilena's expression turned incredulous. "And how did you prepare it, exactly?"
Dea hesitated, her mind racing. "I grilled the bread, spread mashed avocado on it, sprinkled a bit of nutmeg, and—"
Mrs. Ilena's eyebrow shot up, cutting Dea off. "You added nutmeg? Didn't you read the instructions or ask for help? Was no one here to guide you?"
Dea shook her head, still confused. "I...I'm sorry, Mrs. Ilena."
Mrs. Ilena's face softened slightly, but her voice remained firm. "I'm afraid your promising start here has been overshadowed by a grave mistake, Dea. Your carelessness has led to Mr. Matreo's hospitalization, and the boss has requested your termination."
Dea's eyes widened in horror as she struggled to process the news. "Hospital? Fired? How is this possible?" she whispered, her voice trembling.
Mrs. Ilena turned to leave, but Dea's gaze remained fixed on her, hoping for a reprieve. Karis walked in, concern etched on her face, and sat beside Dea, who had slumped to the floor.
"Did I really just hear that?" Dea asked, her voice cracking.
Karis nodded sympathetically and handed Dea a tissue box. "I'm so sorry, Dea. I know how much this job meant to you."
Dea's tears flowed freely as she buried her face in the tissues. "I had no idea he was allergic to nutmeg! I wasn't told, and the other ladies just watched me make a fool of myself. Now someone's in the hospital because of me!"
Karis tried to comfort her. "It's not your fault, Dea. These things happen. And the boss's allergies are no joke. He's probably still fuming, but he'll calm down eventually."
Dea's sobs intensified. "But I'm fired! He didn't even consider me, just his stupid allergies!"
Karis placed a gentle hand on Dea's shoulder. "Let's wait it out, okay? It's almost evening. We'll go home, talk this through, and figure out our next move. Maybe I can even beg Mrs. Ilena to intervene on your behalf."
Dea blew her nose, her eyes red and puffy. The thought of starting over, finding a new job, was already overwhelming her.
Karis approached Mrs. Ilena, who sat with a stern expression. "Mrs. Ilena, please consider Dea's situation. This job means everything to her, and she's already devastated."
Mrs. Ilena's expression softened slightly, but her voice remained firm. "I understand, Karis, but it's not up to me. Dea's carelessness can't be ignored, and I won't have her in the kitchen again."
Karis pressed on. "Perhaps she could take a different position? She's willing to apologize and make amends."
Mrs. Ilena shook her head. "There are no vacant positions, and even if there were, I'm not sure the boss would be willing to listen to her apology."
Karis knew there was a vacant position, but she didn't push the issue.
“But could she plead with the Boss and if he says no she will leave besides she has to apologize for what happened earlier even if she’s to leave”
“If you say so then that’s fine but I know he won’t even want to listen”
"Thank you, Mrs. Ilena," she said, smiling weakly as she left.
She found Dea in the changing room, packing her belongings. "Where are you going? Why the sudden change of clothes?"
Dea shrugged, her eyes red from crying. "I'm fired, so I'm leaving."
Karis encouraged her. "I begged Mrs. Ilena to give you a chance to apologize to the boss. He might pardon you."
Dea looked skeptical. "I don't think he will."
Karis persisted. "Try, Dea. It's better than leaving without a word."
Dea hesitated, fear in her eyes. "What if he's a monster? Everyone's scared of him."
Karis reassured her. "A trial is better than nothing. I have to get back to work, but I'll come back and let you know when the boss is back and settled."

She knocks on the silk perfect white door, all the doors had different colours as some where gray and some white she was directed to get to the third room as only four rooms were up here she couldn’t hear anything as she felt he was sleeping.
She had written a letter of apology earlier to drop in his table or room if he wasn’t inside and this was the perfect time to do that, she slightly tried to open the door as it opened easily, she tiptoes inside walking straight to the desk, his room was all she wanted, it was so manly and yet so simple with everything neatly kept and this time it had alittle colour of blue to it, the light was a shade of red meaning he could have any light he wanted in this room. She pictured herself on the neatly dressed bed as she started drolling seeing how sexy the bed was. She drops the letter and walks up to the bed sitting alittle at the edge.
“Is it just my head or this place scents so familiar” she thought
“And why should it look familiar to you?” She jumps off the bed but at the same time falling to the ground because of imbalance. ‘Did I say that out loud’
“Ouch”
A hand stretched infront of her for help as she hold him trying to stand only to look up his face and releases his hand as she falls again and his eyes dark with his brows furrowed. He wore only a towel to his waist as his muscles were shining so bright fully toned, his lips perfectly curved to the side showing a smirk, with his hair still dripping water evident that he just came out from the shower.
“Who let you in my house and what theft job did you come to do here lady?”
She scoffs “lady?, really?, after making me not get a job and here you are firing me again you call me a thief, now who is a thief here?” She was surprised like was he really the Boss.
He was so quiet like he was thinking something.
“Oh you don’t remember me, the lady you almost had s*x with inside the elevator? And the lady you fired because of some stupid allergies, I don’t even know why I got to write a stupid letter apologizing”
He folds his arms listening to her shout, she was way too loud and she knew it and immediately kept quiet
He walks closely to her as she moves backward until she hit a vase which he held and she moves to the end while he placed it well but it wasn’t done as he moves further to her.
“How unprofessional of you to firstly call allergies stupid” he spoke so coldly and in a low tone that she could hardly hear him she couldn’t ascertain if he was mad at her or anything but yeah he was mad at her she concluded.
“And then you got to enter my own elevator not withstanding the one you were asked to use”
“But I “
He comes closer leaving no space between them taking his hand to her neck as he choked her bringing his face closer, she could see his eyes clearly this time, they were so blue like the ocean that she could drown inside it and let it take her, but she wasn’t going to easily surrender, but her body wasn’t doing justice as they were acting on their own accord.
And then it happened his lips came crashing on hers taking all her confidence away.
