Chapter 4: Dismantled

Dorin closed his app and turned off the mobile phone, he got his wallet, keys, and walked out of his house, he left his building with his friend Iulian, and they will meet his other two closest friends at the bar, Mihai, and Anton.

Dorin realized he was thinking about the talk with Kam, and that was weird, he usually does not think about anyone other than himself and his closest relatives, his two sisters and his three best friends, their friends in slighter degree than his two sisters though.

He knows lots of people, and lots of people knows him, but he does not worry about other people to be honest, he literally does not care about others’ problems or lives.

He thought for an instant that Kam was so different and also pretty interesting.

He was just remembering small pieces of their conversation where he thought she was funny, really funny, and witty.

They drank all night, until they were seriously drunk.

Dorin made his way, having a hard time walking straight back to his house, he lives just a couple of blocks away from the bar, and all of his friends just asked for Ubers, so they were all safe.

After her talk with Hattori, Kam felt great, she thought he was actually really nice once you get to know him, but in the game, talking about the guild, he was seriously a cold person to pretty much everybody, he is some serious case.

She got back to watch the series on the tv but once in a while a comment from her earlier conversation with him popped out of the blue to make her smile to herself.

That night she stayed up until pretty late, watching tv and she entered the game around 1:00 am, she found Manyi, he was about to eat, he is ten and a half hours ahead from her, so when she is totally staying up pretty late, he is in the middle of his lunch break.

They started talking about the week they had and out of the blue Hattori text got in between their talk.

Hattori: Hi humans

Kam5: Hey alien, jajaja

Hattori: What’s up with you two

Kam5: Mmmm nothing, just chatting with my friend Manyi, and how was your night?

Hattori: To be honest, crazy af, we got uber drunk, and I am not completely sure how I got back to my place

Kam5: What? Are you crazy?

Hattori: Actually, I think I am, rolf

Kam5: ;P I think that you have some issues my friend

Hattori: Maaaaaaaybe, Kam do you want to rally?

Kam5: Hell yessssss, Manyi are you still there?

Manyi: Yes Kam, I am here

Kam5: Do you want to rally with us????

Manyi: Yes, I can rally, no problem

Kam5: Great, then, let’s rock this thing! Is there someone else online that wants to join us?

MathLover: I am here too

Kam5: Hey Math, how is my leader today?

MathLover: Actually, pretty good and what about you?

Kam5: Mmm here not sleeping, oh you are also staying up late sweetie, right? What time is it now in California?

MathLover: Here is only 11:00 pm, so I think you are the one that is already staying up late

Kam5: Oh crap, yep, but tomorrow is Saturday, well already is

Hattori: So? You all ready?

Kam5: Yes Hattori, we are ready! Let’s rally!

They all continued to play and rally for another hour.

Kam5: Guys I want to stay a bit longer, but I swear, my eyes are closing, so I wish you all a great day, Math sweety, have sweet dreams, and I will see you all later

MathLover: Yes Kam, sweet dreams.

Kam5: Thanks sweety. Manyi, have a nice lunch!

Manyi: Sweet dreams Kam

Kam logged out of the game, checked that no alarms were set for Saturday early morning and went to sleep, but a notification sound came from the chat app with a loud water drop sound, she jumped on the bed, took her mobile and opened it quickly, and what she read surprised her.

Hattori: Have a great night, see you tomorrow

‘Wow that is weird’ she thought, ‘would he usually be this nice, to everyone?’

Kam:

-Hey you! Thanks.

You scared me, I was almost falling asleep when the water drop sound of the notification woke me up

Did you seriously get uber drunk last night?

-Yep, we did, but we had a great time

-And how did you end up back at your house?

-Aaaaahhh, one funny story, my friends told me, apparently, I walked alone, with some difficulties but I managed to arrive safe, I didn’t want to call an uber like them.

-I live two and a half blocks away from the bar we were in, come on, I can walk that distance

-Apparently barely

-Well yeah, but anyhow I made it and I am safe and alive, see

Next morning, Kam woke up and logged in to the game, this has been becoming her new routine

When the game finally load, what she saw there made no sense, no sense at all.

She was in no guild, she was guild-less, there was no guild chat, there was no guild at all!

'What the f uck is going on?’

She thought and switched to the map view and what she saw was crazier than before.

There, in their usual guild spot, there were just around 8 other players, all, out of their guild.

Nothing made sense.

She went on the emails and read one
