Mermaids And More

557 Words
Allic looks at me with a partially troubled look mixed with shocked expression. He looks as though he's brought up something that he wasn't supposed to. That's when he gives me a sincere but caring look and that's when he mentions to me how he knows that my parents are mermaids.  Allics POV "Aniey...", I say. She gazes up at me with the most questioning look. Dammit I wish I wouldn't have brought up the bit about me knowing that her parents were mermaids. Why do I always have to be so dumb? She wasn't supposed to find out about this. Not now anyways. Not until we were married hopefully. As I think to myself I'm suddenly faced with the truth. I have to tell Aniey. She has to know the truth.  As I'm stuck deep in my thoughts Aniey starts talking to me. "What are you thinking about Allic? Are you hiding something from me?", Aniey says.  So I decided to do the right thing. I decide to tell her the truth.  Aniey, there's something that you must know. The reason I know your parents are mermaids is because I know them.  Aniey stops me and says, "How do you know them though? Is it like a mermaid meet and greet?", she says.  Not quite but the reason I know them is because they wanted to remain on land, as humans.  "Why though?", Aniey asks.  Because they did it to protect you. They had to ask the king of the sea to grant them permission to live on land.  Aniey then asks," But why would the want to stay on land? What's so bad about being mer-people?"  They did it to protect you Aniey. I say with ease.  "Protect me from what?" ,she puffs.  A wicked old sea hag names Jadis. She's a sea witch. She's extremely dangerous. Jadis tried to steal you away from your parents when you were just a baby. No one knows why she wanted you. But she said she'd stop at nothing to get her hands on you.  That's when my father promised to let you and your parents live on land.  "The king is your father?", Aniey squeals in shock.  Oops, I let that slide. Didn't I?  Aniey nods.  Also there's one more thing that I might add....  "What?", Aniey mumbles? In order for my father's permission to let your parents live on land they had to do something first.  "What is it now? What did I they do? Are they in danger?", Aniey asked in a frightened tone.  Your parents aren't in danger but in order for your parents to protect you, my father made them promise their first born daughters hand in marriage. You have to marry the kings first born son. Which is the next in line for the thrown.  I can see it all over her face that she's putting the pieces of the puzzle together and slowly figuring everything out and understanding what's going on. I can't help but stare at her. Her beautiful blue eyes, her long dark hair. She has gorgeous sun kissed skin. She has a gorgeous body with curves and a flat stomach. I yearn for her. She's so breathtaking in each and every way. I wouldn't want to be promised to anyone else. Fate brought us together. She and I were meant to be.  "Wait a minute, aren't you the first born?", Aniey asks with a shocked expression on her face.
