The alarm tone on my phone interrupted a restless and tortured sleep. It was still dark outside though the first appearances of light could be seen on the horizon. I put the kettle on while I took a quick shower then stood out on the balcony with a coffee and a cigarette. Breakfast over, I dressed quickly and was just pulling on my walking shoes when Chamreun knocked at the door. He entered, face grim in concentration. “Look, Brother, are you sure you want to do this? I can handle these guys myself.” “Yes, I’m sure. I’ll let you take the lead, but I want to be part of this.” He nodded in agreement and placed a small rucksack on the bed.
