We were up at 5.30 a.m. the early morning fatigue washed away by hot water, strong caffeine, and the knowledge that we’d soon be on the trail of two possible suspects. It seemed too good to be true. I’d expected this hunt to take weeks, maybe even months, but here we were only two days after the funeral, and we might have the culprits in our hands by the end of the day.
