You could always tell when Chamreun was stressed out. Like some wild expectant father, he would pace up and down whatever room we were in, first lengthways then breadthways, and then start the cycle all over again. It was the day after we had attacked the Shan base and Chamreun wanted things to move quickly. He had instructed Phirum to contact the general and delay the first shipment leaving for seventy-two hours to give us time to finish our business in Chiang Mai.
