After a day filled mainly with rest, planning, and contemplation of the next day’s mission, my alarm went off at the unearthly hour of 3 a.m. Chamreun had ordered an early breakfast from the hotel, explaining that we planned a day over to Chiang Rai and the Laos border. Once ready, I met the rest of the team downstairs, and we ate in expectant silence. Once finished we headed off in the SUV to rendezvous with the second team by Pimanthip golf course.
