"Did you not hear a word I just said?" Aerly look to the man completely stunned "or have you suddenly become deaf?" Aerly couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth she would admit yes they shared a tender moment but that was all. "Have you become deaf?" he questioned in a teasing manner "on my last day here, darling. Before I leave I request a date, one date it's all I ask of you. You're not ready to have a mate at the moment—" "Or ever" She muttered with a cheeky grin as she teased him as well to which he gave an unamused look. "Never the less I would like a date" he let out a heavy breath as he stepped closer once again they were like magnets. Even in the darkness, they would do what they were made to do, they would be forever drawn to one another. "Fine... On your last night here I will go out with you for one date, Raiden. One. Then you will return to whatever your mission is and I will continue on my own path" she looked up at the tall man who was practically standing over her. "Unless I get you to fall in love with me" he flashed a wide smile, his perfect teeth on show. His confident demeanour was quick to appear and disappear in the blink of an eye. "Good luck with that" she couldn't help but chuckle. "I won't need luck you will see. I will win you over" his playful gaze travelled her body before resting on her silver eyes while he held his wide grin deepening the dimple in his left cheek. "You have your work cut out for you then" she continued to laugh as she stepped away preparing to leave. "I am a hard worker" he spoke but she turned and began walking off "By the way Aerly" he called out for her "nice work out there today. You truly are an Alpha." "Flattery will get you nowhere, Raiden Damery" she spun around suddenly and continued to walk away but backwards so she could flash him her smug grin "I already know how good I am" and before she could hear another challenging word she was off. — Aerly sat on the edge of the cot in the medical bay, her legs crossed firmly over one another while her foot tapped aimlessly through the air "so you took down Lucian's Beta" Lilah questioned her large doe eyes focused on the silver-eyed she-wolf "What a badass" a childish smile seemed to worm its way onto her face. "I did what I had to. Hopefully they back off" Aerly seemed to shrug off the ordeal. "Knowing Lucian he won't. He isn't one to give up" Lilah's smile quickly faded at the subject. "Seems it runs in the family" Aerly rubbed her thumb and index finger at the bridge of her nose in frustration before letting her hand drop back to her lap "he won't get to you, Lilah... We will fight him each and every time." "Thanks, Alpha but it's not that simple" the worry was obvious on Lilah's face as her dainty fingers toyed with the cotton white sheets "Lucian, he isn't like Raiden, Aerly. He isn't like the purebloods you've met here he's a cruel vicious man. He won't care who he hurts and he won't care what he has to do to get what he wants." "We have more purebloods here to back us up as well and even when Raiden goes home Niko will be here to guide warriors from their pack" Aerly placed a hand over Lilah's. She wasn't a typically affectionate person but she found a weak spot for Lilah "you're safe here I promise. Nothing will happen to you the sanctuary was built to keep our kind safe and it will be no different in your case." "I know I put on a brave front but... I don't want to go back there. When I turn sixteen that will be it for me if he captures me my wolf will be fully grown and I will of officially matured I don't want to do what I sister did but I would rather be dead too than let that evil bastard near me--" "Lilah... Lilah, he will never get you. He will never take you again you have my word" Aerly assured her. "Thank you, Alpha" Lilah gave a gentle nod of her head. "Maybe you should get some rest. I can get Niko to come to watch you" Aerly gave a smile as kept her comforting hand over the teens. "You're a lot more comfortable with the purebloods now" Lilah commented but Aerly just forced a smile in return hoping to avoid the subject. "Like I said get some rest" she gave a gentle pat to Lilah's delicate hand before standing up and straightening out her blouse. "One of them is your mate" Lilah's comment completely caught her off guard. Aerly let out a long sigh the matter seemed exhausting. Lilah was quick to lower her voice to a whisper "it's Raiden isn't it?" "How did you know?" Aerly had barely taken a step before she froze in place over the subject. "Well, mates are an equal match. It's clear how strong you are, Aerly it practically radiates off of you like a second skin and Raiden is... Well, Raiden you've met him" her elaboration wasn't needed Aerly's interaction with the young future Alpha made it obvious what Lilah was saying.  "He is my mate alright... I just I didn't think I would have one. They're rare after all I didn't think my soul would be bonded to another... To a person, I don't know or even choose" Aerly just sighed once again. "He is your mate for a reason" Lilah attempted to reason with the Alpha female. "Could you say the same for your sister? Her mate is a man you call an evil bastard? Maybe it's all a mistake and there are no reasons for mates" Aerly shook her head as she walked towards the exit. "Maybe my sisters could have been different maybe she could have saved him, maybe not it just didn't work out but Raiden isn't Lucian and you Aerly are certainly not my sister. There is a reason your souls are bound Aerly don't give up at that..." but without another word, Aerly walked out.
