9. Alpha Jackson

Aurora POV My whole body was sore, not from the battle but from our other activities. Most of my soreness was between my legs. Nyx started purring at the thought of Lucas. Lucas walked into my office with a grin on his face. “You called?” “What? No, I didn’t.” He c****d his eyebrow at me. “I’m pretty sure you did purr for me.” A blush rose on my cheeks. “How did you hear that, it was Nyx.” He moved in closer, turning the chair I was sitting on. He sniffed in my scent. “Hmm, not only Nyx likes my company.” I pushed him away. I could feel my arousal rising again. “Lucas, I have work to do.” Lucas put his pouting face on. “That’s not going to work,” I said while pointing to his pout. “Fine, but tonight you’re mine.” I saw Axel pressing forward. “Tonight, I am all yours.” Axel started purring, he moved in closer. I could feel Nyx trying to take over when there was a knock on the door. Lucas stepped back. I looked down at his pants and chuckled at him. “Maybe you should sit down.” I pointed at his erection pressing through his pants. He sat down in the chair on the other side of my desk. “Come in.” Garret stepped through. “Good morning, Luna Aurora and Beta Lucas.” I noticed he smelled me. He cleared his throat trying to ignore my scent. I saw his wolf pressing forward. “What is it, Garret?” I asked, trying to get him to focus on something other than the smell of my arousal. “Ehm— Do you still need me to go into town?” I wondered why he didn’t ask me through the mind link. “Yes, please. I will mind link you the details when you get there.” “Thank you, Luna.” He turned around and left my office. “You know he has the hots for you,” Lucas said with a tone I was not used to. He sounded jealous. “Jealous much?” I laughed at him. “No I know you’re not into him,” he tried playing it off. “Who says I’m not, he is very handsome.” Lucas let out a small growl. He didn’t like what I said, but I like to tease him. I got up and walked over to him. I placed myself on his lap and lifted his face to meet my eyes. “You know, you’re the only one for me. You don’t need to be jealous.” He tucked my hair behind my ear, eying my neck, “you’re not completely mine.” “Not yet,” I said before I pulled him in for a kiss. I didn’t want him to feel insecure. I love him, he knows that. But it isn’t a decision I should take lightly. I will forsake my mate chosen by the moon goddess and make him my Alpha. I needed to be one hundred percent sure. It wasn’t something I could take back. Lucas pulled back from my kiss. “Hmm, you do like it on top.” A smirk formed on his face and a blush on mine. “Maybe we should find out, tonight,” I said before kissing him again. We spent the rest of the morning inside my office. I was going through some logistics. There was some land between my pack and Jackson’s pack. We needed to buy these lands so our packs would connect. I send Garret out to the government’s office in the human town next to us. They had the deeds to the lands we needed. Garret mind linked me that he had arrived at the government’s office. I explained what needed to be done. They just have to tell me how much it would cost, and I transfer the money over. I knew that they wouldn’t make a hassle out of it. Most businesses in town were owned by me. I even had some werewolves working in the government’s office to make things easier. With humans, it was always politics. We didn’t want them to know what we are. They thought we were some sort of mafia. They even tried infiltrating our pack. “Stupid humans,” Nyx said. I chuckled at her comment. We smell them from a mile away. We let them come into our pack and let them only see what we wanted them to see. We did always send them packing after a little while. Jackson mind linked me that he would be here at three o’clock in the afternoon. I told him to bring some of his warriors to start training with ours. He would move near my packhouse, I wanted to keep him close. I know he accepted me as his Luna, but I needed to keep an eye on him. His Beta would come with him too. We started building new houses a couple of months ago. My pack members didn’t understand why, but now they do. Everything that happened was already planned months ago. The houses surrounding the packhouse would be the new homes of the Lunas and Alphas of the packs I merged with. All the houses were huge. They lost their title and pack, but I wanted them to have the same comfort they were used to. It was almost three o’clock. Lucas and I started walking toward the border. I missed his touch already, he knew I didn’t want to be affectionate outside of the house. He knew I needed to focus. We saw Gideon coming up to us while being followed by Jackson, David, and some of his warriors. They must have parked their cars further away. “I told you we were late,” I mind linked Lucas. I walked up to Jackson extending my hand to shake his, “welcome Jackson,” I said with a smile. “Thank you, Luna Aurora,” he returned my smile. His warriors and David all bared their necks to me, in a show of respect and acknowledgment of me as their Luna. “Come, I will show you to your new home.” I walked up front with Jackson by my side. “So, where am I going to live, on the outskirts of town?” he said with a chuckle. It wasn’t how it usually would go. If you took over a pack, you would kill their Luna and or Alpha. I laughed and let my eyes wander over him, noticing how much taller he was than me. Dark brown hair, almost black. He looked pretty intimidating. “No, we’re going to be neighbors actually,” I said. His brows knitted together in confusion. “I would like to have you around and even ask you to counsel me sometimes, if you want of course.” Jackson didn’t know how to react; His eyes flashing to his wolf, like he was discussing it with his wolf. “What is the name of your wolf?” I asked him, pulling him back to our conversation. He gaze returned to normal, “Vic,” he said with a soft smile. “So, what does Vic think about this situation?” “He is confused, and so am I.” We were almost at the center of town. I explained that the warriors should follow Lucas and Gideon to the training grounds and that David and Jackson would come with me. While walking away from the rest of the group and toward the new build houses I could see Jackson and David talking through the mind link. “Care to fill me in?” I asked with a c****d eyebrow. “We just don’t understand, why you spared us. You spared a lot of warriors that night. Most of them were knockout and not dead,” Jackson asked with his eyebrows pinched together. “I wasn’t there to kill everyone off,” I said with a chuckle. “Like I said before, I wanted to merge and if there was a way for you to keep your title, I wouldn’t have taken it away. But there isn’t.” Jackson laughed. “Well, there is a way.” “I’m not going to choose you as my mate Jackson,” I said with a stern face. “Maybe I will grow on you,” he said with a smirk. I heard David laughing and saw him shaking his head. “We’re here.” I pointed to the huge villa on my right. “I thought this one suited you the best. If you like one of the others houses better, you can choose your new home.” “I like that one.” He pointed to the packhouse. I sighed. “That one is off-limits.” “He’s kind of funny,” Nyx grinned. “Is he always like this?” I asked David. “Yes, Luna, always,” he replied with a grin on his face. Jackson looked serious, with his suit and muscular appearance. But he was kind of a funny jerk. I handed the keys to the house to Jackson. “If you need help moving in, just ask Lucas or Garret.” “Not you,” he said with a flirty smirk on his face. I let out a little grow and sighed. Jackson put his hand up and took a step back. “We’re good.” I chuckled at his response.
