CHAPTER THREE "What nonsense is this?" A young woman probably in her early forties shouted out of frustration. Her skin was like velvet, her eyebrows like slivers of ebony, her eyelashes were long and dark as night . She was boiling with anger that all she could think about was how her car could be blocked by another. She was in a hurry to get to a very important place but unfortunately for her, her car was blocked by another car and she couldn't move out of the restaurant. She was eager to get to the place and now she has to exercise patience, this made anger settle over her. "Who is the inconsiderate human being, who would park like this and block my car?" she exclaimed, her voice rising in anger. "Please, miss, I'll find the owner of the other car and have him/her move it. Please, stay calm" the restaurant security guard said, his voice shaking as he pleaded. "I don't have all day, I have to get to somewhere very important" she yelled, her frustration bubbling over. "I have to be at my destination as soon as possible, and now this person's thoughtless parking has delayed me even further. Why would he park like this when there was so much space available?" She said as the anger welled up in her chest. Resentment grew inside her like a tumor as she glanced over her wrist watch. The security guard hurried into the restaurant, clearly searching for the owner of the car that had blocked hers. The restaurant security guard addressed the crowd, his voice rising above the general hum of conversation. "I'm looking for the owner of a blue 2024 BMW X2, the color is Blue" he said, his eyes scanning the room. A tall, handsome young man, dressed in a black suit stood up. "The car is for me," he said. His face was smooth with a bristly eyebrow and a hawkish nose. He looked charming and collected that all the ladies in the restaurant's eyes fell on him. "Any problem?", He asked. His voice deep, looking at the security guard expectantly. "Your car is blocking another car, and we need you to move it," the security guard said politely. "Alright," the young man replied. He followed the guard outside, his confidence radiating from every step he took. "Hi, I'm so sorry for blocking your car. I was so hungry that I didn't know I was parking wrongly." the young man said, his voice smooth and soothing. He spoke with such sincerity that the woman found herself calming down. She had been so angry just a moment ago, but now she was trying herself to stay calm. "But you should at least know that you will be delaying someone else, your sense should tell you that" She yelled. Despite her best efforts to control her temper, it was hard to do because she has been so angry. She looked at the man who had blocked her car and felt her frustration bubbling over again. "Woman, I just said that I'm sorry" He said, his voice calm with a cute smile that revealed his white set of teeth and dimples. "I already apologized, what more do you want?" he said, sounding annoyed as he noticed the woman's frown face despite his apology "And besides, you're a woman, shouldn't you be the one who's calm and collected?" He hissed, got into his car to reply, leaving the woman speechless and shocked at his outburst despite being calm at first. "Now, I'm done reparking,You can go ahead and drive your ugly self in your rusty car" he said, a hint of smugness in his tone. As he made his way back into the restaurant, a hot slap landed on his cheek and the sound of the slap drew the attention of people to them. The man's cheek turned red instantly, his nose flared as he stared at the woman. He couldn't believe he had just received a slap from a stranger. A flames of anger licked through him. "Are you alright, how dare you?!" he shouted, his voice shaking with rage. He was about to swing his arm back to slap the woman but he noticed something strange. On her neck was a tattoo, a small, intricate design that looked oddly familiar. As he studied it more closely, he realized it was the name "Amy" that was written. The name struck a chord within him, and he suddenly remembered his ex- girlfriend. He took a step backward, his pupil dilated, his respirations shallow as he tried to settle himself. "A-Amy?" he stammered, his lips shaking as he called out the name. The woman's eyes narrowed. "Who are you?" she demanded, her tone accusatory. "He took a deep breath to calm himself. "Is your name Amy or just a short form of your name?" He asked hesitantly, trying to calm his racing thoughts. "Why do you think I should reply to you?" the woman retorted sharply, her tone bordering on anger. She turned to get into her car, ready to leave the strange encounter behind her. But the man pulled her back as he caught her by the wrist. "I'm Ruby," he said, his voice shaking. His anxiety has caused a chilly perspiration on his forehead. "Are you Amelia?"He asked slowly. The woman's pulse quickened, her breath coming in short gasps. Two Ruby's spun through her mind, one a past love that abandoned her with pregnancy and the other a present business associate she was going to meet. Her anxiety and worry made it hard for her to calm. "Yes," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I'm Amelia Williams." At the sound of her name, Ruby's legs went weak. He felt like he was falling. Silence fell between them, they kept staring at each other, no one knew what to say to the other. The woman standing before him had the same name and tattoo as his ex-girlfriend, the woman he had left so long ago. But she also had the same name as his business partner, the woman he was supposed to be meeting with that day. Could she be his ex- girlfriend or his business partner or both?
