Penelope’s POV I stay in the grass holding a crying Darla for who knows how long. I have never been an emotional person but the pain that she is feeling causes me to almost feel it. I have tears streaming down my own cheeks and I do not know why. Finally Darla sits up wiping her face and just looks at me and says “I am so sorry Penelope.”  “What? Why are you sorry?” I ask in confusion. Darla begins telling me all about how she met Lucas at the club and how she got s**t faced drunk that night.
