Penelope's POV
Once we were out of the hospital Max let me know that we had to go to his Dad’s office because it was time for me to meet him. I am nervous to meet his Dad because I remember that he is the Alpha. I have not had the best of luck when it comes to Alphas. Lucas’ Dad was an Alpha and he was the one who put me in danger.
I am hoping that he is a good guy and will not put me in danger. As we walk towards the pack house I think Max can sense that I am nervous and he just gently rubs my back.
“Hey everything is going to be okay” he says as he looks down at me. I see genuine truth in his eyes and I trust him. I feel safe here even though so much is unknown. I feel better being around him especially after everything I have just gone through but I still don’t know what any of it me
