Maximus POV
We wait in position for what seems like hours but it is only about 30 minuets. I am so anxious to get Penelope back. Even if she doesn’t want me I will be happy with the fact that she is safe and out of harms way. I have not been the best acting Alpha and it is time to change that.
Being basically rejected by Penelope has hurt and it caused me to make some dumb decisions. As far as Penelope goes, my biggest priority is making sure that she is safe. After that, if she decides that she does not want me, I will be willing to let her go. As much as I want her by my side, her being taken has made me realize that I would rather have her safe and healthy and maybe in my life as a friend, then not at all.
