"Don't Ever Hold Back" First Act

Log 014

Subject 0024:

(I can do this... He has been infected to become a Demonic Beast...)

[tightens his grip on the ax] [breathes in and out]

(That's a different remote... What could that be?)

(I need to act now before it's too late!)

Nakamura:

"Now that I know how to operate this damned machine..."

[presses the button of a strange remote]

[the ground suddenly shakes wildly]

[a delayed sound of the explosion is suddenly heard]

Nakamura:

"Oh s**t!"

[loses balance and falls down]

Subject 0024:

[grabs a hold onto anything while crouched down]

(What the hell?! ... ... ...)

[the explosion and the shaking continues]

Subject 0024:

(Explosions... I thought I heard about this before...)

[suddenly receives a flashback of the previous events]

[suffers an intense headache]

[tries best to keep himself silent]

Doctor:

"There is something that you need to know."

Subject 0024:

"Yes, what is it?"

Doctor:

"Do you remember anything?"

Subject 0024:

"Yes. This is the experiment, right?"

[notices security personnel looks at the doctor sweat running down the cheek]

Doctor:

"This might come a shock to you but we had an emergency last night coming from the company."

[breathes deeply]

"Experiment Subjects went into panic even when they were told not to panic."

"The resulting event caused catastrophic reactions leading to the deaths of most of the experiment subjects including you."

"It caused a massive system failure resulting to an explosion that killed all of the people inside."

"Some of the surviving subjects that were encased inside the pods survived the explosion."

-End of Flashback Sequence-

Subject 0024:

(Don't tell me... the explosion was caused by... this guy?)

[headache decreasing gradually]

(All of the scientists... died just because of this guy?)

(Did the infection caused him to do this horrible act?!)

[rubs forehead] [headache disappears]

(This guy... will bring about the end of the world...)

[grips his ax tight] [I must stop him before this becomes worse]

[sees Nakamura standing back up and turning on the machine]

(Just one powerful swing behind the neck... yeah... that could kill him instantly.)

(I need to do this now...)

[stands up and rushes towards the unsuspecting Nakamura]

[vision suddenly blackened]

[random clicks from Dr. Lavender’s pen]

[a sudden shift in gravity]

[a sudden shift in position]

[random clicks suddenly stops]

[vision returns back to normal]

Subject 0024:

[finds self lying flat on bed in his room of his house]

[eyes widened] "No way... No! NO! NO!!!"

"WHY AM I BACK HERE!?" [expresses great frustration]

"This can't be happening..." [checks out the window]

[sees two black cars in front] "Those are Nakamura's men..."

"I'm back to the reality of yesterday... the reality of me..."

"...not joining the research... and then..." [tries to recollect]

"Nakamura suspected me of knowing something..."

"Dr. Lavender at this point in time is still alive..."

"This gives me a great chance and time to tell her everything!"

"But how... how am I supposed to escape from those men?"

[looks under the bed and finds a box]

[checks for the content of the box]

"It's great to at least have my gun with me..."

-Model of 1911 pistol found-

-Colt M1911 pistol bullets and cartridges found-

Subject 0024:

[sighs in relief] "First priority is safety..."

"I need to escape from here as soon as possible..."

"...but how am I supposed to do it?"

"I need to recollect the events..."

"I've seen too much stuff that I have to adjust to this reality first..."

[calmly concentrates] "So... in the first reality... the monster escaped..."

"...and uh..." [tries to recall without the use of the Memory Log]

[wants to avoid the headache] "Damn it... does it really have to emphasize the headache?"

"So the monsters escaped and the lab was destroyed..."

[grabs a pen and a piece of paper and begins to write]

"The next reality is where I wound up following the Representative of Illusions Research..."

"Kokichi Nakamura... and then he killed everybody because... he was infected..."

[puzzled] "Since I'm not good at medical things... it could be because he was infected..."

Subject 0024:

"Damn..." [starts to question the VOICE inside his head]

"How did you know all of this?" [tries to deduce]

"Are you perhaps... some AI created by Dr. Lavender?"

"You know... a fast learning and adapting AI... of sorts?"

-Escape from Kokichi Nakamura's men-

Subject 0024:

"Is there anything you can do to help me?"

-No-

-I am only informing you of things-

Subject 0024:

"And end up getting that zappy headache?" [gets frustrated]

"HELL NO..." [sighs deeply] "I'm starting to feel this anxiety..."

"But you know what? You did something for me to not feel..."

"...very anxious at all... I am calm, composed, and confused..."

"Please inform me if the men are hostile..."

-At the moment, the men are reporting to Kokichi Nakamura-

-One of the cars, moved to the east-

-They are waiting to take action-

Subject 0024:

[goes back to writing] "This is the third reality..."

"Among the three realities... I would say that..."

"The second reality where I am inches away from killing Nakamura is the easiest of the three."

"This third reality is probably the average difficulty... and the first one is the hardest..."

[comes to a conclusion] "I need to kill Nakamura in all realities to be able to find out which one..."

[continues to write his findings] "...is the real reality of these three... I hope the first one isn't real..."

"... but I would like... to meet... Nurse Desmond..."

-What of the woman from Apartment 11?-

Subject 0024:

"Shit... there's her too... in this reality..." [stands up and puts pen and paper inside the storage]

"My house is located in a crossing..." [checks the global map using his phone and starts analyzing]

"My house is located southwest of the crossing. The northern road is already out of the question because of Nakamura's men. The eastern road is also out of the question because Nakamura's men also parked there. South of my lot is my neighbor's and of course... there's a fence in between us. Which leaves... the west."

[walks to the western part] [sees his clothes, blankets, bedsheets, and pillows still hanged]

"I can use that to cover myself... I hope my neighbor's home already so that I can ask her to cover for me..."

[looks at his neighbor's fence] "All of her fences are high enough for me to hide from them..." [checks the time] "...two more hours before sunset..."

"I remember her pet dog burrowing a hole big enough for even me to slip into..." [laughs at the funny memory]

"It's behind that bush... Thanks to that I can manage to slip inside. Alright... it's decided... I have to make my way through there..."
