Introducing
“Quick, call the captain!! There’s nothing we can do against this titan of a monster! At this rate we’ll die.”
“Yes, sir!”
As the vice captain of ‘Earth-Crust’, one of the 9 pillars of the kingdom sent an order to a subordinate, the gigantic Kraken sized 3 headed sea Hydra that stood over 40 metres tall with a greater portion of its body still submerged under water, let out a loud roar that caused waves in the surrounding water.
The sea Hydra was a grandmaster class magical creature in its late stage that uses water magic of up to the 6th tier. The vice captain is only a master class magician at the middle stage who specialized in ice magic, while the rest in his party were heaven class or early stage of master class. In the presence of such a monstrosity, they could be considered as ants.
The scout reported the magical beast to be at the master class. That was why they were confident sailing out into the middle of the sea. Little did they know that this mid-day trip to the middle of the sea would be one that will place their lives seated next to death. As they were about to be swallowed whole by the hydra, a man suited in majestic attire appeared in front of the ship, mid air.
With a wave of his hand he spoke two words, “spatial slash.” The hydra’s head that, a strong telekinetic type magic brushed it away from the ship into the ocean.
With a sigh of relief, the vice captain said, “it’s the captain. He has arrived”.
As the giant head fell into the ocean, everyone on board let out a stream of joyous scream as they celebrated the appearance of their captain.
The hydra let out a loud screeching sound as it conjured up a massive 6th tier spell that caused the ocean behind it to burst out into a titan sized wave. The magician who the men in the ship referred to as captain looked up to the dense rain clouds that had formed above the entire area, causing the area below to go a little dark.
“Perfect.” He said as he raised both of his hands in the air. A drop of water rolled down from his hair through his face while he took a slow, deep inhale, then exhale.
“6th tier magic, downpour of the Sun God Temple”
Immediately, the clouds above turned into a sea of fire as it poured down on them. The dense clouds that had formed throughout the sky started flowing to the point directly above them like a raging sea of volcanic magma. As the clouds came to a single spot, the ones already in the spot above started pouring down as the mage dropped his hands while others rolled in. This scene resembles the draining of water from the sink in your kitchen.
Although it looked like magma, what poured down from the sky was a sea of fire so dense and voluminous that it looked solid. The once dark sky of rain clouds had now been lit up, causing the earth beneath to resemble daytime again, and with this brightness came intense heat that would make one feel as though he was in a sea of molten lava.
In awe of the miraculous sight before him, the vice captain said, “this is truly a piece of art, no, a masterpiece. Strangely enough, I don’t feel any heat. The captain must have cast a protection spell around us.”
As the waves created through the hydra’s magic towered over its remaining heads, it was met by the artistic downpour of fire from the sky. At that moment, all the people aboard the ship could see was steam that covered the entire place like fog as the fire clashed with the wave, and a bright gaze of their captain’s magic, which was still in effect. It stayed like that for several minutes, and surprisingly, the steam was not on the ship, neither could they feel the heat.
“Fhuuu,” the mage standing above the ship in midair exhaled slowly, before waving his hands, which caused the steam to magically vanish. With their vision of the surrounding area restored, everyone’s jaw dropped so hard that it could bowl a hole into the ship’s wooden floors, as what their eyes were seeing could not be imagined, not even in a hundred years.
The entire sea had evaporated, leaving countless fishes, magical creatures, and three titan sized beasts dead on the seabed. What remained of the hydra was just the skeleton, while one of the 3 beasts that appeared to have been sleeping within a crater laid motionless in the deepest part of the sea, with steam rising out of it’s skin like freshly cooked seafood.
“Simon! Come up here!” the man above the ship called out to the vice captain, who wasted no time casting his flight magic.
Opening his eyes wide in shock, like a man who had remembered the face of the person who killed his mother, he shouted in response. “Captain the ship...” the captain pointed to the ship, which he then turned to face, “oh. Its floating.”
“Now Simon, go down and check the meat of that creature. Check if its edible”
“Sir? How am I supposed to do that, sir?”
“Cut a chunk and stick it into your mouth, that’s how”
“And what if it moves suddenly?”
“Then you take care of it. Aren’t you the vice captain of the strongest pillar??”
“ehh, I might be the vice captain, but I’m not a monster...” before Simon could continue what he was about to say, the captain grabbed him by the ankle and launched him to where the creature was.
“Just go and stop complaining,” he said as he launched him with a blast of fire spawning from his arm, “I’m hungry.”
...
“Captain!” a feminine voice called out to a man standing on the edge of a cliff.
“Yes, I know. I saw it too from here. That was a spell of immerse power.”
“There’s only one man that can cast such a large scale spell.”
In a calm voice, the man responded. “Yeeess. The son of the sun, JULIUS... ”
...
As Julius landed on board the ship that was now flying, the men on board murmur to themselves, ‘the captain is truly a monster’, ‘captain Julius is surely the strongest person in the world’.
“what’s wrong with these people, I save them from a monster, then they call me a monster.”
Not long after he came on board, Simon returned with big chunks of sea monster meat, with no skin on any of the meat. He had to dig into the creature as the outer flesh was over cooked from the heat so its texture was like thick mud. After proper seasoning with ingredients that their captain pulled out of his dimensional ring, everyone enjoyed themselves as they ate the meat that was lightly cooked a second time so that the spices would settle in. They enjoyed sea food, in its literal sense.
With that, they set sail back home, or rather boarded a flight back home on their flying ship.
