“We’d better get a move on,” was all she said aloud this time. She needed her walking. It could be slow and it could take a long time and it could include many rests, but if she didn’t move shortly, then she’d pay for it. “Do you have any recommendations?”
“Do you want the surprise? If you do, make it random.”
“I want a safe door,” Bettina said emphatically. “I want something beautiful and safe.”
“Where’s your map?”
“Here,” said Melissa. “It’s Bettina’s, though. Mine was stolen.”
“It won’t do them a scrap of good. Portals are marked, but that doesn’t mean idiots can see them.”
“Idiots?”
“People who are blind to portals, of course.”
Melissa felt uncomfortable about Zelda.
