Chapter 11It took about another hour, since Gil was working so slowly, for the rest of the bar to become fully Tiki’d. There were grass skirts over most surfaces; annoying neon masks in the corners; and a few stray pineapples wearing sunglasses that were supposed to somehow signal the tropics. As if the outside weather and endless blue skies didn’t do that. Gil stood in the middle of the floor, half-filled with new customers, and took a deep breath. The end of an era. The See Shell has been see-sold by the seashore. She chuckled to herself, still laughing at the amount of bad puns that would come from this transition, when she realized the front was missing a sign. She knocked on Dean’s office door. “Come in.” “Hey.” Gil smiled briefly as she closed the door. “What’s this place called?”
